Another away fixture for Rovers today as we travel up to Carlisle United.
Promoted through the playoffs last season, they currently sit just inside the relegation zone.
Judging from their manager's pre-match comments, they are struggling with quite a few injuries, so let's see if we can take advantage.
3-1 Gas, Martin x2 & Thomas to score.

18 years since a victory at Carlisle.
Lost our last four. Two 1-1 draws previously.
Not looking forward to the chant:
"you've come a long way for nothing."
Happy to gain one point. 1-1 perhaps.

Not done many away fixtures this season but am heading down to the game on the train today as we are on a long weekend up in Edinburgh. Not been since 2004! I don't travel with a great deal of confidence, based on our current run of away results. But we will see.

Positivity pre game got us nowhere against Reading , so let’s try this.
Carlisle struggling to score and meet the famous run-Enders. Gas to lose 3-0 with at least one red. Mangans last game in charge.
Let’s hope Hunt is fit, otherwise agree with Dans team in the Post.

Looking forwardto seeing how those ballboys play today ! Something the ref failed to deal with that day. Shouldn't really have young ballboys being involved in the dark arts in the first place IMO

Lose another player to a red card after 20 mins . Go on to lose the game 7-0. Mangan sacked and the board resign on mass . Higgs & Bradshaw come back to save the day and Holloway made manager.

Safe travels to all the Gas going today.
It’s a shame we never won Tuesday night as I think a draw up there today would he a good result if we picked up 4 points from both the game. Feels like a win is needed today now we don’t have a league game for a while.
Prediction 1-1.
The good times are just around the corner.

Annoyingly i had to drive to Scotland twice last week , Daughter moved up there, she could have been more considerate and moved this week so i could have took in the game while up that way, that's kids for you! certainly highlighted the dedication of some fans who make the journey though, think they will be rewarded with a 3-1 Rovers win making me even more annoyed with an inconsiderate Daughter!

The midfield now becomes a bit of a worry!!
finley not at his best, Woods looked poor against Reading, Bogarde not quite up to speed.
However, hoping it was a blip as I think there are good players in Woods and Bogarde, and I’d stick with them as a pair in a 4-2-3-1
Cox
Gibbons Taylor Crama God knows (Friend/Grant/Flash)
Woods Bogarde
Thomas Evans Vale
Martin
Collins needs a proverbial boot up his behind and Vale deserves a start
Tough trip up there, get at them and play with more tempo and we might sneak something
think it will be 2-2

Anyone who needs a football fix, bath city are home to Aveley. Third verses second. Bath playing some good football at the moment, and they take cash. I'll be there with one eye on the gas, hoping and praying as usual.

I would be looking to mould Evans into a number 8 - he’s a good athlete, not bad in the air and isn’t afraid to put his foot in plus it gives him room to make driving runs a bit like Lines used to. We can then have 3 from Thomas, Brown, Collins and Vale in the more advanced position behind Martin.
