Who said you can't support Rovers living outside of Bristol? I see you never accepted that you were in the wrong to think BCC would have ever helped us move back to Bristol.

Lived outside the Big City since 1962 when I joined the RAF.Always loved getting to;Eastville (even from RAF Laarbruch in Germany),Twerton and the Mem.Was actually looking forward to the two years at Cheltenham for the phantom UWE project as it would have made my commute from Stafford a little closer.Topper once advised me to support a club closer to home but my team is everything to me and although Grass roots locally is terrific coming to Rovers games is the best.I sometimes bring a disabled chap but the Mem's facilities are way below that of most other clubs but if we win it's well worth it for both of us.

It’s quite surprising Staffs how many gasheads travel to the Mem from places well away from Bristol like ourselves, who originally came from Bristol but have migrated to places far away for work reasons etc etc. When we played at Twerton we picked up large numbers from the Wiltshire area and I know many of them still attend from all points east and south of Bath.

We were getting crowds of 3500 at Eastville come the end, maybe just maybe moving to Twerton was good for us, we've picked up alot of new fans from different cities

The 2-season move to Cheltenham was part of the plan for the complete rebuilding of the Memorial Stadium including student flats. This plan was superseded by the UWE Stadium project where it was intended that Rovers would continue playing at The Memorial Stadium until the new stadium was ready.

Haven't lived in Bristol since 1976, but still consider myself a Bristolian first and foremost. Mother (91) still in the same house I grew up in, and my regular trips home to see her always take in a Gas home game. It's a constant in a changing word!

Still been a season ticket holder last few seasons after my saturdays became free again, but its a 4+ hour 220 mile round trip for each game. UTG

UTG Fair play for travelling that distance, it would be interesting if a survey was carried out regarding where fans travel from, last season before a match I spoke to a couple of supporters, one from Exeter & one who used to travel regularly from Tenby, but had now moved slightly nearer. Also there’s the well known lady who with her family, travels down from Scotland which is some commitment & to think I moan sometimes about travelling across Bristol because of the traffic.

Was forcibly moved from Bristol to Mid Somerset 7 years ago, I've not been to a game now since 2016
In my wee lovely home on the edge of a street I'm happy listening on the radio or watching final score, my days of being a drunk asshole of a supporter are now long dead. I prefer my garden and redecorating my wee home.
But ever matchday I'm glued to the tv ir phone' does that make me a bad supporter' I still buy merchandise from the club shop!

Moved out of Bristol about 6 years ago due to house prices being too high.
Still got my season ticket and travel to every home game

Haven't lived in Bristol (Frenchay) since 1979 (first match in 1976 aged 10) when my Dads job took us to Surrey. Between 79 and 82 used to watch my local team Leatherhead play. In 82 I could nick/borrow my Mums car to drive to Eastville. From our first season at Twerton until I moved to France in 2007 I had a season ticket driving initially from Surrey then Hillingdon to every home match. Now it's a tad far 800+km drive just to Calais.

On returning to this country in 1988 after work in California, my job was in Slough and I lived in Bracknell. I've had a season ticket ever since and only missed a handful of games in 36 years while living in Bracknell for 28 years (190 mile round trip), and since 2016 in Wellington (Somerset) which is a 120 mile round-trip. UTG

Many years in Whitchurch and then Nailsea for 20 years, then 5 years or so in Bideford and now 10 years “commuting” to home games from Camarthenshire in West Wales. Another ST holder with a 200+ mile round trip to home games, picking up an 80+ ST holder in the Swansea area on route. My first game 1957, his 1949!
