Nothing but positive for me... Sees our weaknesses, knows where to improve and where we want to get to.
Seems a straight talker without the nonsense to go with it

Not bringing any staff with him, has to work with who is already in place. Quite interesting but also a bit of a concern for me. Should’ve been allowed to have his own staff that he can trust and that know his style of play etc. Who's in place, do we know? Must be a assistant manager role available.

Considering mangan has left I'm sure hel be allowed to bring in his own assistant manager.

Spoke well, but so did JB. Crucially though, this chap doesn't appear to have the whole circus with him. Feeling hopeful, but perhaps not expectant, that we can salvage a decent season from this point. That may depend on the January window and how Barton's players adapt. Interesting times for sure. Bring on Chelts!

Like Stewart before with Clarke could improve some of the coaching for the attackers

In good old Bristol where dreams take flight, Matt Taylor stepped into the managerial light. In 2023 a new era began, Guiding Rovers with a visionary plan.
On the touchline, passion ablaze, Strategizing victories in a tactical maze. Through ups and downs, the team held tight, Aspiring for heights, reaching for the Championship’s light.
Promotion’s whispers filled the air, As Gasheads cheered with fervent care. Battles won on the football ground, Taylor’s leadership, a triumphant sound.
Bristol City of ‘82, a tale revered, But a new chapter, Rovers’ destiny steered. Taylor’s magic, a legend reborn, In the Championship, a crown adorned.
The Gas soared high, the city in pride, Surpassing rivals on this football ride. Matt Taylor’s name etched in the football lore, A story of triumph, forevermore.

Considering mangan has left I'm sure hel be allowed to bring in his own assistant manager. No problem at all. He said in radio Bristol interview he will be working with all the current existing staff, no changes. Would be an odd thing to lie about, and typically an assistant would be named alongside a manager right away

A potential new staff member or two are still working for Rotherham United at present.
Nathan Jones is a possible manager for The Millers.
When NJ or A. N. Other is appointed WC, DG and SB may head back to the South West.
Meanwhile, existing staff who can prove their worth my find their employment continues.
No reason to kick out huge numbers of staff at this point.
At the end of the season mutual decisions may result in many more staffing changes.

Who does he bring in as his assistant from existing staff then? I can't see it to be honest will leave us pretty short if venture Whelan and mangan have all gone.

Ridiculed by some when I said I wanted a manager showing commitment by moving near to club and then the main man says he’s moving near to the training ground 👏👏👏👏
COMMITMENT, eye on the project, not your mind 4 hours away, kids crying they miss Dad, wife saying she needs help and can’t do this on her own, children who see their Father (15 month baby in Matt’s case).
Two Vito’s for sale, PM if you are interested 😂👍

Just listened to his interview and he comes across as a very humble, very calm but very firm individual. A complete contrast from sewer rat who was full of his own self importance and had a proper superiority complex.

Mix with a few Exeter City fans.Well thought of but they seem to doubt Browns value to us it seems. Me too. Apart from flashes, he hasn't looked interested. I'm wondering who exactly Barton thought he was an upgrade on - Lofty maybe, but at least Lofty was trying his best, even if it was poop! as an exeter fan I kind of agree he hasnt been too impressive at rovers yet but maybe this is the time when he starts to shine

Loved his interviews seems a no nonsense Manager where it's not all about him, liked what he said seems a decent appointment.
Given some financial backing in January, we might kick on.

Please, please, please….at post match interviews you are representing Bristol Rovers some humility will be required. No more blaming refereeing decisions and everything else under the sun, no more throwing people under the Bus. Gas Chatters are more than happy to (debate) pile on any dubious Officiating or poor play. If we lose it is because the opposition out scored us.
