Came across very well in interviews - Seemed a very pleasant likeable optimistic character. Personally I’m sorry you didn’t get the job☹️ The positives are you will now be able to spend more quality time with your wife and young family ! Good luck for the future, thankyou for all your hard work 👏💙Utg

Probably a little unlucky getting fired after what was a very decent run of results, but the new owner obviously wanted all associated with the Joe Barton regime out of the picture. Thanks for your efforts Mangs and best of luck in your next role.

Thank you Andy and good luck, as is usual i suspect the new man wants to bring his own trusted team with him so no reflection on you or your ability, or as some have suggested for that matter, your association with the previous manager.

Was anything said about any of the other coaches? Or will it be a case of Taylor having a chat with them over the coming days with the possibility of some of them leaving as well?

Unfortunately the last two games was the readon why he never got the job best if luck in your next appointment in the game May be true, and he was agonisingly close to getting 4 points from those two games, rather than one, which whether for good or bad, may have made it hard for the board not to appoint him. Fine margins.

Did a brilliant job alongside Joey and done well in his time as interim, no doubt he will be JB assistant again very soon.

Thanks for your efforts Mangs and best of luck in your next role. Don't get this owners against the Joey Barton regime, Wael, Hussein and our supporters are kidding themselves if they think we would have signed half the players we have without the regime. Mangs has come across very well in past 5 weeks as interim, and since arriving, on the pitch we have come on massively. Where we as supporters now have expectations for results The new owners hardly come across as most competent since taking over. Anyway all the best AM.

Whatever else went on, you were a credit to the club and yourself. I am sure most fans will wish you the best of luck in whatever you do next. Hope this last week doesnt take away your positive outlook on life, a welcome change from moaning managers UTG Wow, can't remember seeing a posts with more likes, and definitely spot on. I do believe he will develop into a good coach/manager if that's what he wants, and he was definitely a credit both to himself and the club as you said. I also think his time, with us at least, isn't yet for that rôle, and I'm happy for us to have Matt Taylor.

Only AM formally confirmed as leaving but I heard yesterday that Bond, Danny Ventre and Whelan were leaving too. I don’t think for one minute there is any truth that the owners wanted to get rid of the whole JB regime. Didn’t they say in an interview that the new manager would be required to work alongside the existing coaches? It seems almost certain that MT is wanting to bring his own assistant and first team coach and that will have been his terms for accepting the job.

I read that as if WC leaves Rotherham when a new boss starts there he may join Rovers. Which essentially just has him replacing the departed AM.

I think you’re right about WC but I don’t think we’ll see Bond, Ventre or Whelan again. That still leaves plenty of analysts, fitness guru’s, nutritionists, medical staff etc from the previous regime - amazing numbers of support staff for a league one club.

Amazing when you think it effectively took about 7 or 8 people to replace the jobs done by Roy Dolling and Ray Kendall. At the end of the day, it's performances and results that count. We have seen plenty of games at the Mem in the last few years where it looked liked the players really did eat microwave meals, fish and chip suppers and had a few in the players bar.

I was a mascot in the first season at Twerton and in those days you were in the dressing room before the game, at halftime and full time plus got to sit on the bench. The bench was me, Bobby Gould, Roy Dolling and two subs!!! Nowadays we have a matchday squad of 18 plus about a dozen support staff. As Chief Brodie might have said “we’re gonna need a bigger bench” 😁!!!

I'd like to hope that Bond (may have been brought in by JB, but then pushed out and only came back when AM was in temp charge) and Whelan (opportunity to be AM, at least temp, and may be not as reliant upon JB as others) stay for a while
