Have been through all remaining games and can only see 70 points max which will give us about 10th spot based on last season . I have been encouraged by Bolton and Portsmouth wins with recent win IMO the best I’ve seen them this season so will be stoked if my if 70 ends up much higher.

That's a bit pessimistic. 70 points is only 6 more than the current tally extrapolated to the end of the season. With the Pompey and Bolton wins, not expected by many, we've already cleared that hurdle. I can see us challenging for 80.

It’s wide open with games in hand. The teams in the playoffs are not much closer than those at the top. Teams will falter and tumble. I’m confident we’ll go on a run but we could end up anywhere from the top positions to the bottom half, however I reckon we’ll have a good go and end up playoffs minimum.
This season has an air of our previous promotions. We’re best when we’re chasing the pack and our last two promotions show we’re not afraid to surprise on the last day after an epic run in.
I remain very optimistic.

2 points a game until the end of the season puts us on 79 points. Only in one season was that not enough for a playoff spot. Never enough for an auto spot though but close in some years but not many.
In 2015-16 we were on 36 after 22 games and ended on 85 after 46. 49 points averaging 2.04 per game
In 2021-22 only 29 after 22, ending on 80 points which is 2.125.
2006-07 28 points, ending on 72, a turn around of 44 which is 1.83.
Looking at an example from another team with a noticeable turn around in 2015-16 Barnsley achieved promotion through the playoffs after being on 21 points after 22 games and in the relegation spots, ending on 74 points a turnaround of 53 points amounting to 2.21 PPG.

Aside from that known unknown, you've also got to consider clubs changing managers. Key players getting long term injuries. Cup runs meaning games are piled up towards the end of the season for some clubs whilst others already have points on the board...will anyone get into financial difficulties?

Finishing on + 10 to 15 GD would be tremendous progress for the Team. Hit that and next season we can talk realistically about Play offs.

I’ve mathed TF out of this, Championship ain’t happening lads….Get back at me if you can see it though. Last season Plymouth & Ipswich terrorised this division, they both finished around the 100 points mark. You need 1.7 points per game seasonal average to secure a Play Off spot. Currently sitting about 1.3 ppg, so we would need to hit 2 points per game for the next 23 games to haul ourselves into the PO’s only 2 or 3 teams in each division can maintain that.

Having just drained a rather nice bottle of Pinot Gris, I believe that if we can procure the services of Mr Johnson Clarke -Harris ,next season we will be Bristols Premier football club .

Warning to our Red Friends south of the river. Please do not be alarmed by the imminent reversal of disparity, life will go on for you once you have transitioned your way through the seven stages of grief.

Don’t worry if I’m reading this right the seven stages are for our neighbours after we achieve 2 PPG per game for the remainder of the season.

Get January out of the way, then on paper the really tough games are
Derby Bolton Peterborough
There's a decent run of 8 games commencing in Feb, where if we keep this form up, I'd be looking for at least 17 points...
There's hope everyone

I have never heard of 7 but i have heard of 5, many times. Denial. Anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance
