Sadly, a lot of people think he's speaking for them. Looks like the Conservatives will lose but he's going for Labour votes too. Mostly people aged 70 and over . A dying breed. Oi. 😮😮

Could Nige actually win a seat at the seventh (?) time of asking? It's his best ever opportunity.
But he's not at all averse to switching parties once the writing is on the wall for his previous loony affiliations.
Maybe he should defect to Labour. Everyone else seems to be doing it. He might really get elected then, and it seems Keir isn't too fussy about which right wingers he takes onboard these days.

However, iving in the South Bristol constituency, my actual vote will be for Karyn Smith.

If Labour really do get that large a majority, Starmer would be able to sideline the more extreme MPs, although keeping that many happy will take careful management.
First leaders debate (Scotland last night aside) this evening. Probably a tense score draw.

Farage 4/11 to win in Clacton . 70% voted for Brexit and looks like the idiots still want to swallow some more kool aid 🙄🇬🇧

Interesting debate, don't think much will change in the polls based on that. Think Sunak got off very lightly without answering any actual questions on actual policy or how he pays for it.
Starmer made some extremely strong points though that Sunak simply had no answer for. Interesting idea to just start making up lies and policies, he is more desperate than I thought

Thought host allowed Sunak to talk over his time far too much and he bullied a bit . Starmer needs to learn to street brawl a bit for the next debate and up his game. Gloves should be off , take down the over privileged posh boy with a few cutting lines .

It just doesn't look right when they pretend to be all macho. I still cringe at Ed Milliband and his "Hell yes, I'm tough enough!"

Either way , he let Sunak get away with too much last night .

The challenge for Starmer is he's very wooden, has no natural charisma, needs time to consider and marshal his thoughts, his hesitancy around the £2k tax question was painful. Whilst I don't think it will alter the election result it does put a question mark out there around his leadership skills. Ps Thought Mick lynch on news night was excellent, asked all the right questions.
