He’s a tool makers son ( in case you hadn’t heard 😂) , he should be able to mix it up a bit. Either way , he let Sunak get away with too much last night . The challenge for Starmer is he's very wooden, has no natural charisma, needs time to consider and marshal his thoughts, his hesitancy around the £2k tax question was painful. Whilst I don't think it will alter the election result it does put a question mark out there around his leadership skills. Yeah odd that one ( the 2k lie ) , why didn’t he just shoot it down straight away instead of letting Sunak repeatedly bring it up ( whilst he talked over his allotted time)? Other polling this morning has Starmer winning the debate , but it was close.

Either he doesn't understand his own policy or he is worried about saying/committing to something he later has to retract. I'm voting for Lynch and Morgan🤣🤣

Starmer is trying to say the least he can get away with for fear of upsetting some elements. Probably part of his character and being a lawyer.

Does anyone honestly believe Starmer when he says he would never consider private health care even if a loved one was on a long NHS waiting list. So he'd rather see a loved one in pain or potentially have a life threatening illness than pay privately to have the necessary treatment. Yeah right we believe you!

The thing is, Starmer is not a street brawler and shouldn't have to pretend he is. It just doesn't look right when they pretend to be all macho. I still cringe at Ed Milliband and his "Hell yes, I'm tough enough!" He’s a tool makers son ( in case you hadn’t heard 😂) , he should be able to mix it up a bit. Either way , he let Sunak get away with too much last night . He's a tool makers son and tells votors he knows what it feels like to struggle with bills whilst wearing a £500 Sandro Coat 😂😂😂😂

Yeah it must be a difficult concept for you to think a political leader could have some moral substance. 🙄🇬🇧

Doesn't Private health care relieve some pressure of the NHS?

The fact that Sunak wouldn’t use the NHS for anything for him or his family as they wouldn’t wait 2 seconds . That’s the story . You peasants can wait and die if necessary, me and mine will be fine because I’m a multi millionaire.

And on the flip side the Multimillionaire Starmer would rather his family use the NHS, thus helping to increase waiting times for others for potentially life saving operations, than put his hand in his pocket and pay for private healthcare. That I think is selfish. You have banged on about how people with money should pay more and when they do you say they have no morals. You couldn't make it up !!

Not quite the same thing but I remember Cameron being asked a similar question about education, he said he intended to send his children to the local state school.

Interesting debate, don't think much will change in the polls based on that. Think Sunak got off very lightly without answering any actual questions on actual policy or how he pays for it. Starmer made some extremely strong points though that Sunak simply had no answer for. Interesting idea to just start making up lies and policies, he is more desperate than I thought Sky had Sunak as narrowly winning 51% to 49%. Thought host allowed Sunak to talk over his time far too much and he bullied a bit . Starmer needs to learn to street brawl a bit for the next debate and up his game. Gloves should be off , take down the over privileged posh boy with a few cutting lines . So a score draw. 😉
