I don't expect we will ever get a truthful answer but whether it was Barton or Jennings who made some of our signings they deserve credit. The following have been brilliant permanent deals compared to the sh** we've had to watch over the years. Connor Taylor Luke Thomas Grant ward Aaron Collins Jack hunt Antony Evans James Wilson Sam finley Can't argue that those are great players. A good mix of young and old. It would be really interesting to see how many players he signed and how many worked out and how many didn't, because some didn't. Remember, we are keeping a balance between the good and the bad. I've always been a Sam Finlay fan, however some have been calling for his head in the last 3 months. Personally you only have to look at his desire to keep the ball in play for our second goal against Portsmouth to see that he is a great player. Probably the most consistent player over the last few years. Anyone got a full list of JB signings? Good point re Finley. I'd started to write him off but he has been excellent these past few weeks. Technically he is a very very good footballer. Comfortable on the ball and intelligent. He could have played championship with ease I'd imagine. Your right re last night it was excellent calm play to not only keep the ball in but to use it to start the attack for the winning goal. A lot of players at this level would have lumped it over the stand to waste time.

I was always in the JB camp. He brought a professional and Prem league attitude to the club.
Yes it went t;:ts up in the end.
His rants on twitter/ x are somewhat misjudged. But he does make some valid points.
Of course it’s all about money, and I would be amazed if he ever had the opportunity again in club management.
We had a great result yesterday, but where is the future. JB under stood that with no u18/23
Don’t condone any of his off field, or on field antics.
MT great, but is it just L2 L1 that we are aiming for.

There were off field comments unrelated to Rovers and there were comments that were very much about Rovers. Was it professional to call the previous incumbents negligent and then proceed to give up on fighting to stay up with 6 games to go? Was it professional to come out and talk about Snuss in the manner that he did, when premier league players use it for performance enhancement? Was it Professional to bully staff by making them do keep ups in front of the team? Was it professional to sign a player on loan and guarantee the first 3 games then when he let's 5 in, throw him under the bus? Was it professional to throw Bobby Thomas under the bus? Was it professional to throw Luke Thomas under the bus (twice!)? The question really should be "What did JB do to increase the professional approach to the game for Rovers players?"

Anyone can make things more professional with an unlimited budget! He added to every single area of the management team, 2 nutritionists for example. Yes we were more professional but then Nathan Jones would want more staff probably, would we loud him for making us even more professional? Darrell Clarke gave us higher finishes on less budget, Paul Trollope took us to the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup on a shoestring. We are more professional apparently with Barton but still couldn’t get the results 🤷🏼♂️

Given Barton told us he was working for nothing, I wonder if he waived his payoff? I doubt it somehow. So, so pleased he's gone and more so given his endless provocative twittering. Still he built a mid table squad and it's up to MT to build on that over the next couple of windows. He certainly seems a good team manager but the test will come when he starts signing his own players and how they work out. That lack of recruitment/ scouting staff will not make that part of his job easy. you know nothing about it so why are you saying this? All I know about Barton is in the public domain. He tells you a lot in his interviews, pod castes and twitter accounts. Surely I can say what I like Kruger as long as I'm polite and not offensive.

If you want to say "let's move on", feel free. That is how freedom of speech works.

Very interesting comments re Taylor. He either has beef with him or genuinely thinks he isn't the right man for us.

Deluded if he thought he was the best man for the job.

If that is correct, which it is, how is it the managers before Joey brought in so many bad players ?, the team Joey inherited from Garner / T1 was awful. The team we are currently watching, although a lot on here do not want to recognise it, is Joeys squad of players, Joey brought them to the club, his contacts particularly at premierships clubs, such as Manchester City and Newcastle United (both which he played for) is excellent. I wish Taylor well, in fact I had a chat and photo with him in the car park yesterday, this is a very good squad, add a proven goal scorer in January, and I would expect this squad to make the play offs at least. Stop disrespecting him by calling him T2 then. Can you change it to automoderate? Like the C word, and the P word haha! If someone types Tisdale 2, T2, etc ... Change it to Barton!

He sounds a bit bitter that he didn't get the job as manager. That's how I read it. I think he's chatting rubbish. Everytime we've looked for a new manager, he's always been disarming with his remarks "maybe, maybe", and then long after a new manager has left it's all "well, I *almost* joined". I'm sure, if he really wanted the job, it would have been there for him many times!

Tbh when Wael hired Joey, I was underwhelmed; since BD Snr I have seen 36 (inc Taylor) managers at BRFC, with the common thread being they all came and went, during that time I have been watching home and away, and love it, WW and NC tickets bought I cannot wait, during that time I have never clutched my pearls in horror, we all know or have known some wronguns. I assess managers on the pitch. When people pipe down about Joey and them maybe we can all move on. Until then pot kettle black. I am more disappointed currently BRFC have only sold 550 for WW and 1160 for NC, seems to me there a number on here who do not love Taylor enough to watch the boys away.

Ha ! Still backing Barton despite him becoming a huge embarrassment and a complete tool on Twitter. Wouldn't want him near the club again if that's the case.

That's great because I hear there was a fight amongst our own supporters at Blackpool 😮💨 There was indeed! 🤔 💙 UTG And our away support was always more united and great to be a part of. It’s going to take awhile to see a united fanbase but, right now, we are worse than the 82. Awful to read of this.

He's a parody of himself these days and a dinosaur. Thanks for the memories and all that, but let's move on.
