We should have won the match at home to Liverpool. The noise from the Rovers fans at the replay was incredible. It sure was , we out sung the Kop for around 50 minutes we were amazingly loud, however if I’m honest, when they took the ascendancy/scored BLOODY HELL that was some noise, literally blew us back into our seats! Dont remember that bit! Remember i was surprised by how small all the stands looked. Bit different now |

Who else was there last time we had them in the cup ? Fantastic experience I was. I wonder how much it will cost for my wheels to not get nicked this time? Cost me a Fiver all those years ago but fair play to the kid he looked after the car! think they are cashless now around the ground |

The car was also fine. not sure I’d have done the same thing if it was my car. |

How many fans did we take last time to Anfield ? Was it about 7k from memory? I remember it was more and IF we win the reply ( and it is a big IF ) I think 10k if we can have that many tickets.... Get a train load from the deep south (Cornwall) !! We sold out the 7000 tickets they gave us and iirc wouldn’t give us any more. I remember they wanted us to change the original home draw at Twerton to Anfield saying that they would sell it out! As it was I think there were less than 30000 at Anfield for the replay. What a game that was! |

One of my greatest experiences watching us at anfield. Mixing with Liverpool fans in pubs before the game. Being in anfield soaking up the atmosphere watching us giving it a good go and after the match being in the car BBC radio on and them finishing their show with the words "good night Irene" 🙂🙂🙂
