Come on. A low offer isnt taking the p on its own. Part of the process of letting the player know there is interest, negotiation etc Pirate has heard more, whether true or embarrassing I dont know (or care that much), but a low offer is not taking the p*ss They are learning on the job. Hopefully they do learn, and quick. Comms have been shocking from them, hope they learn soon that has to change soon too. Owners with money and privilege are always going to be "characters" very few are liked. Its why Wael has been so nice to have at the top. What would be the point in offering below the release clause? Register interest Arent release clause values supposed to be secret?! So offering low and getting knocked back is actually the sensible thing to do!

It was a summary for Mario, young Topper. However, it does seem that this lot couldn't organise a booze up in a brewery, which is another sad reflection of their awful country...alcohol is illegal. This isn't about winners of being able to buy a player. We're hardly signing Conteh for millions, he's going to be around £375k. I also have never said that the AS don't have any money, it's likely they do, although we don't actually know because no one knows anything about them and they aren't exactly the worlds best communicators. My concerns, which have been echoed by a couple of others are the way they are conducting themselves and how they are running us. - 6 weeks to appoint a manager is too long. - The fall out with Whelan which meant he walked out. - Not paying people. - We have no football recruitment team or scouting network - The JCH saga. - The Conteh saga trying to low ball a release fee - Not supporting MT with back room staff - Finley calling for help for the manager - Other clubs telling us how unprofessional we are in our conduct. - The Kuwaiti academy website that is full of mistakes and fake reviews. These are just the obvious things. It's amateur and incompetence on another level. i have been told that the "greater family" is very big into oil distribution by people who investigate these sort of things for fun... never really understood the need for all the wealth to be hidden from public view

Let's just hope the Conteh deal comes through. I do find it a bit odd, that depending on the narrative or the agenda, paying too much or offering too little is a stick that can be used to beat the club/owners with. People will believe what they want, as generally here we only hear one itk version often with little context. It's exactly the same with supposed debts, whether that be fences or whatever and if you don't jump on the bandwagon you're accepting mediocrity. Hopefully good news today, and despite what some might try to push, the transfer would be positive and a signal of intent. Understood, a little. I think the maddening thing for those frustrated on this transfer is: - there's a release clause - its not particularly high, so activate it, sign the player and get him in the team, 2/3 matches ago. Regarding transfers- the football community talks and we are not enhancing our reputation with dither and dally. I don't really criticise the club over big infrastructure decisions. If the fruit market was deemed bad, I trust that. Its a huge decision. But operationally (day-2-day) football club transactions away from the manager haven't been impressive. And previously, I felt we had been going in the right direction, albeit slowly

I'm not sure why we are debating their wealth again?? None of us know, as we can't access the proper sites from this country. Wael was happy they had enough money though and they had enough to give him money for his shares and to clear the debts in the first place. Don't forget, Wael is still part owner and still pays towards the ongoing costs. Between them, they have enough money to keep a League 1 club going. Whether they have the money to take us to the next level, we will only know with time.

A lot are not updated in the UK. As I said, pointless getting into it before. I don't work in computers, but lots were certain before. They ran more than one business anyway and we don't have a clue what they are worth. You can't find anything else out about them, apart from their education etc. The dad is in charge, so why keep sharing the sons linked in page that gives little away??

Don't get the last one?? That looks pretty good? Not A* elite, but certainly not "amateur" - unless I'm missing something?

What do you think you can’t access from the UK in Kuwait? The UK does not restrict internet access!!
And even if we did you could just use a VPN…

And previously, I felt we had been going in the right direction, albeit slowly That's a reasonable and balanced response, but I've always been lead to believe release clauses were unknown so of course it makes sense to offer low initially, even if it's suspected that it may be higher. As for the delays, well we've only got one version of events (as usual) as you wouldn't expect the clubs to disclose all of the negotiation. The rest is noise and tittle tattle. If, as rumoured, we've paid £300 grand or broken our transfer record then let's enjoy the ambition for once, instead of picking faults from dubious sources with potential agendas. We weren't able to celebrate the JCH deal, but depending on who you believe, it was down to the clubs incompetence, the player/agents greed, or (most ridiculously) the fact we were pretending to be interested. For me, it was refreshing that he wanted to be here and that we had and were willing to spend that money on one player. I may be a rose tinter, but we've recently got rid of Barton and his supposed 'mafia', brought in MT, bought CT and CM, have a nice new stand and maybe signed a highly promising lower league gem for a fee. That sounds more than mediocrity in a short space of time to me.

I think we need a reality check, without Owners there are NO football clubs as we know it,why would anyone want to do it, particularly in the lower leagues. Lose your own money Abused by fans Private Lives crawled over Every decision questioned Etc etc Damn sure I wouldn't,not saying we should worship from afar, but come on with anyone on here take it on? Fair argument but I think the main issue I have is how the owner's son is conducting himself with other clubs owners - you don't take the p*ss on fees & make our club look an embarrassment. It creates a bad atmosphere surrounding our club. How do you think DMc started out at Posh, I doubt from Day 1 he was a great negotiator? I can't imagine there's many potential owners ready to buy out Wael and fund record transfer fees for incoming players?
