Come on. A low offer isnt taking the p on its own. Part of the process of letting the player know there is interest, negotiation etc Pirate has heard more, whether true or embarrassing I dont know (or care that much), but a low offer is not taking the p*ss They are learning on the job. Hopefully they do learn, and quick. Comms have been shocking from them, hope they learn soon that has to change soon too. Owners with money and privilege are always going to be "characters" very few are liked. Its why Wael has been so nice to have at the top. What would be the point in offering below the release clause? Test the waters? If AC had a release clause of £1m do you think the likes of Wrexham would offer it now and we'd still expect such a fee? You don't offer to buy a car at the asking price but sometimes you finish up having to pay it if it's one in demand.

Don't get the last one?? That looks pretty good? Not A* elite, but certainly not "amateur" - unless I'm missing something? Did you not notice the spelling mistakes, poor grammar and fake reviews at the bottom? £300 a month subscription fee per child??

Did you not notice the spelling mistakes, poor grammar and fake reviews at the bottom? Is it anything to do with us, or someone using our name? On the Instagram I don't recognize the coach and they have no photos of anyone linked with us. In Cornwall there is Saints Southwest. No links to Southampton at all. But they use their badge, charge a monthly fee and say they have an academy etc. If it is us, it's not very professional. But for all we know, it could be someone using our name as we got publicity over their, when they bought us.

They were advertising for the academy coaches a while back through the clubs channels.

And yes this Kuwaiti Accademy (sp.) is officially to do with us. Byron Anthony is handling the coaching job applications.

It's not an academy, most of the coaches are level 1 and they have no official links. I know people who have worked for them and they are not listed in the Cornwall FA handbook etc.

Did you not notice the spelling mistakes, poor grammar and fake reviews at the bottom? £300 a month subscription fee per child?? What is the going rate in Kuwait? Villarreal academy is £350 a month. Granted we aren’t as big as them but I’m just wondering if we are overpriced or if we’ve just gone in at market value.

I know one of the directors, even if they had links, they don't now. I have coached with some of the coaches who left them, at the Plymouth Argyle development center. You can't coach at an academy, if you're only level 1. Unless it's recently changed again.

It does show how they’ve come to that conclusion though, mind you looks like a fair few kids are in place already so hopefully it’s something we can turn a profit from

The link to Southampton is very loose, they used to be Arsenal. They wear red and white stripes and you get to go to watch Southampton matches - at a normal match day price with no perks just like you would if you ordered them from the website. Part of the whole JPL thing

They were Arsenal, paid to use Southampton's name instead for a bit. They don't even say they are a partner on their website anymore. As I said, I have watched them first hand and I know about their reputation in Cornwall. I know they had no links at all last season, even though they said they did. They have no pathway. Anyone can say they have links. Unless the club can be bothered to sue them, who is going to know. I could say more about them, stuff I know, but I wouldn't post it on here.

I think there’s a mix up on who’s who here.
Saints have a set up in Bath that is directly linked to Staplewood. They got into a lot of trouble over this a couple of years ago as Saints argued that there catchment area had half the circle in the Solent.
Bath enabled Saint to scout outside the 45 minutes hour whatever it is now travel time for academy players.
I have no idea who saints southwest are and if they are linked with the Saints Bath set up. But the Saints absolutely have a set up in Bath.
I think the Saints southwest thing might be a little bit like the Jamie Shaw set up with West Brom some time ago, not even sure that is a thing anymore. I stand to be corrected but I think that was a tenuous link at best with WBA.

But the point being- who is making fake Bristol Rovers academies overseas... Occams Razor and that. Your theory is possible but not plausible. And it does worry me when people will go so far to look beyond the obvious. Criticism of the owners isn't betraying support of the club. I'll lend you a better a theory- the club have likely partnered up with a small academy in Kuwait. The Kuwaiti club are reasonable for the site and whilst it doesn't match the expectation of a league one club it serves its purpose in kuwait. Hopefully it makes an impact in Kuwait and Children can enjoy decent football facilities. Its small fry. Ultimately, harmless. But there's not a lot of credit to- it's probably not us...

Not sure if it's still going but Bath was a proper academy which I think brought through Bale amongst others. Saints Southwest is for anyone in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall who are happy to setup the direct debit

Gee why so many giving the son so much stick? Is it all heresay or some elements of truth ? Must admit if just a small amount of truth is buried in these posts then its worrying reading !!!! Lets hope Daddy reads the posts and gives him a clip around the ear . I can just imagine the son and hangers on running amuck and playing the big i am. Positives are new signing who looks quite raw but something special about him. Martins extended contract and a few old soldiers back Friend, Captain Wilson and Martin leading the line. Stoney UTG and a 1-0 win to halt the alarming slide
