If he is CEO by name only, then he needs to either grow a pair or resign. A CEO is put in place by the shareholders. It is an officer who has been trusted to make decisions on behalf of the shareholders. If that is not the case then he is taking money from the club and the shareholders, he should resign immediately. (Just in case someone looks at my previous posts, full disclosure I have never been a TG fan) The only shareholders are the Al Saaed's and Al Qadi's, I assume TG consults with those two groups before making any major decisions, we're not a PLC with millions of shareholders to satisfy. TG's attending the SC Q&A if anybody wants to put him on the spot with any allegations they are posting on this thread. "making major decisions" So, you are saying that TG does make major decisions which is what I would expect from a CEO. So, he is to blame?

More unsubstantiated gaschat gossip. No it’s not. Yes it is. Called pirate and others out on this before. Stop with the winks and snide remarks. Tell us the facts or shut it. But some just love to moan and pretend they know everything.

Blame for what, if you are still talking about refunding the Exeter supporters my guess is the Al Saaed's are refusing to play ball, if they are then TG can hardly over rule them, when at the end of the day it's their money.
A football club CEO is far removed from a PLC CEO.

This is absolutely f**king shambolic. Just when I think our club can't make themselves look any more ridiculous, we pull this sort of penny pinching disrespectful charade.
I didn't comment on the announcement from our owner the other day, because until we see some evidence that we're at least a reasonably professional organisation, his words are pure hot air.

Exactly my thoughts. A 60 page thread on Grimsby forum about Conteh and none of their fans talking about their club nearly taking us to court etc etc. Funny how some Gaschat posters know all about it and Grimsby fans have not got a clue about it.

Its a joke. Surely TG must be on thin ice. Constant feck ups which make Yate Town look professional compared to us. Might be a nice guy who openly interacts with fans, but you'd think these things get run past him... I don’t think it’s got anything to do with TG any more, mate. I get the feeling he’s being bypassed by Al Saeed Jnr (henceforth to be referred to as ASJ, as I can’t be arsed to type it in full); by the same token, I sense that a lot of this stuff is going under Wael’s radar as I think he’s probably being kept out the loop as a matter of course, now that he’s no longer got a controlling interest in the club. I’m sure that if you ask Roady or Dusty they’d probably tell you that it’s got ASJ’s fingerprints all over it . . .

Well if the AS’s & AQ’s are the only shareholders, and the AS’s are the majority shareholders, then I would suggest that TG is probably nothing more than a convenient scapegoat for them to hide behind and Wael has just been reduced to a mere figurehead to keep the fans onside.

I agree. I also have a feeling, based on nothing much except speculation, that people still inside the club but no longer in control of things are unhappy with certain aspects and are passing information to third parties. Possibly completely wrong. But someone is getting info from someone and it's certainly not from the owners.

I have been involved in situations where my own company took over competitors who were sold because they were losing money . . This invariably means that there have to be cut backs until the new guys have a handle on where the overspend is happening and people who had been responsible for the past would blame the new guys who were taking unpopular decisions to try and right past wrongs.
I suspect that a degree of that is happening within Rovers .
I do not know about the Exeter ticketing situation but I feel that Exeter have stitched Rovers up in the press. By portraying thenselves as the heroes it means that even if Rovers had intended to refund then it will be seen as if their hand was forced by the away team. In Rovers position I would not now refund and let the Exeter club deserve the heroic status they are milking from their fan base .
I do know however that when the Fleetwood fans arrived at the ground after their journey in the rain and wind Rovers gave each of them a voucher for a hot drink and something to eat. It was well received by the away supporters and seems inconsistent with the Exeter situation. Don’t always believe everything you read in the press.

Pretty certain Rovers have already had plenty of time to decide if they were going to refund Exeter fans or not? From a family club everybody liked we're slowly turning into a club everybody dislikes, appointing JB, employing Brown and now this nonsense.

Blame for refunding the Rovers fans. So you think TG's now running the club and the Al Saaed's are just his yes men? He is the CEO. I have seen nothing to suggest that he doesn't have the ability to make decisions. Are saying that the Al Saaed's made the decision to refund Rovers fans? That doesn't fit the narrative that you are trying to create for them being money grabbers?

What narrative, I thought Roady & co were the ones leading that crusade, I haven't a clue whether they are money grabbers or not, I'm not that well connected!
Anyway how's your anti TG narrative going, I can't see many posters joining your own crusade against him?

Anyway how's your anti TG narrative going, I can't see many posters joining your own crusade against him? I don't see this forum as a popularity competition, is that how you view it? I think he should have been sacked about three outrageous decisions ago, around the same time as the planning permission nightmare. As I have said previously, I don't think anyone should have got a refund when ticket prices were reduced. Just can't see the justification. "I haven't a clue whether they are money grabbers or not" You do read back what you post? Your posts are giving the impression that is exactly what you think.
