The point is the supporters club is independent of the club - this is a good thing. Yes there is a cost for joining but they must have costs to run the supporters club and I suspect any excess gets used to fund projects related to the football club. The fee for joining is relatively low and at the end of the day there needs to be some benefit to encourage people to join. If they have gone to the trouble of organising this it is fair that their members benefit. Quite hard to get anyone to pay a fee to join a club these days when there are a million groups on things like facebook or forums like this that people can join for free. Agreed, I can't really add to this other then to say that I'm not sure any other club automatically enrol ST holders to the clubs independent supporters club or trust as, by their very nature, they're independent of the club.

There are 84 tickets remaining for this event as at today and therefore I suspect they'll become generally available as of tomorrow. Ultimately it is our opportunity as fans to ask questions of the club that people feel should be asked. It's a chance to hold the owners and ceo to account, there's little point in moaning unless you're prepared to try and do something about it! No one is being 'excluded', it's a BRSC run event and therefore it's only right that BRSC members have first opportunity at tickets, but as I've said above it looks like they'll become generally available as of tomorrow unless there's a late 'rush' today! Let's see how many are prepared to ask the difficult questions on 29th, I suspect there are a number of people on here and social media who like to hide behind their keyboards and moan, but aren't prepared to put their heads above the parapet and make their feelings known to those who actually run our football club! I do feel excluded. There will be supporters club members who do not have a season ticket. Season ticket holders should be erolled as a supporters club member automatically (and at no additional charge). I'm sorry but I don't agree with that. I am a season ticket holder but do not wish to be a member of the supporters club.

The SC are so independent that their FD totally ignores any questions raised by fans, they are as useful as a chocolate teapot. The Q&A session should have been open to SC members and S/T holders to attend from day one, particularly as this season's S/T were sold on the basis we could attend a Q&A session.

Interestingly though, it seems to work the other way round. If you are a SC member, you get a discount on a season ticket. How does that promote independence?

Why is the opinion or questions from a season ticket holder any more important than any other? You could argue hearing from a disenfranchised fan who doesn’t attend is as valid if not more so? And before it’s mentioned, plenty of non-ST holders will put more money into the club per season so it’s not about £’s spent. Not sure how you could be auto enrolled into the SC given they are separate entities. I guess the SC could offer free membership to St holders if they thought it would bring extra eyes and funds to their activities. Perhaps attend and ask that of the fans director?

You have hit the nail on the head here. I am agreeing with you. Just makes it even more ridiculous that this meeting seems to be a bit of a closed shop.

As both a longstanding season ticket holder and member of the supporters club I don’t understand the belief that a season ticket should entitle anyone to belong to the supporters club? Why? The supporters club is a separate entity that enabled the club to continue existing in the past. They used to voluntarily handle the ticketing for the club and ran the share scheme (which is how they still have a stake in the club and the right to appoint directors (sworn to silence by confidentiality agreements!). They sold their shop for circa £half a million and gave it to the club quietly (in Higgs days). They aren’t part of the club, I don’t think they have been well run since the Al Qadis saved us but feel people should pay to join if they want to participate in their activities (or wait and see if spare places are available after members have first dibs). I’m a member because it saves me £5 on the coach travel they arrange to every away game still. As an Over65 I’m quids in on just the second game! UTG!

Perhaps that's a question to ask TG, as the club offered Fans Q&A's as part of this season's S/T package?

So how do none SC members obtain a ticket as in typical SC style there seems no explanation how they can obtain a ticket when they become available tomorrow? Perhaps instead of having cheap shots at for posters you could have explained the process. Also what is the process of asking questions at the Q&A, as I assume the owners etc aren't going to have the time to answer questions from all the fans attending the meeting, if they want to ask a question?

It may be a way of managing numbers. What if all 5,000 season ticket holders wanted to attend? 4,850 would miss out once the tickets were allocated? Although from past experience the club will be lucky to get 100 attending a meeting.

It it a secret society so to able to ask a question you have to pass the following tests: First dress code, you must wear a suit including a bowler, an umbrella and a rolled up copy of the Times with a blue carnation. This eliminates any City fans as their carnations would be red. Then in true The Great Escape fashion you will be asked a simple question in English (how did Cowley lead the Professionals if he was part of that!). If you reply to the question what is your Christian name with either Jim, Ken, Steve, Ben or Nick you will be removed and given a right good dapping. You must then show your right kneecap and hop on the spot 5 times. Finally you must hold either Mike Jay's complete record, or a Keith Brookman period Pirate match day magazine in your right hand and pledge allegiance. Alternatively, you can just pay your SC membership and raise your hand and wait until you are asked. No doubt many fans will have the same questions. Some questions may have quick answers, some may be long and many they just cannot divulge. If there is not enough time, and it is a success, they may wish to hold a separate Q&A with Pirate Pots members? I'm surprised it has not sold out, that said the fan on the terrace probably has more concerns in everyday life with work, mortgage and family life, while we on gaschat have been sucked into the importance of knowing every in and out of a ducks behind regarding the football club? We few, we sad few, we band of Gashead moaners, oh that we can stand together and disagree on St Q&A day. Time for a break methinks.

I am a season ticket holder but do not wish to be a member of the supporters club. Same here.I want nothing to do with the SC. Can someone who attends please ask the owner whether his family have any links to the Kuwaiti government please? Cheers. 🏴☠️
