Just tried to buy a scarf for a friend and was told that they’re out of stock as “there are bills that haven’t been paid”.
Asked to buy one of the 3 on display behind the counter and was told that they’re not for sale.
Was going to buy a shirt as well but can’t be bothered now.
Strange way to run a retail outlet 😂

On the flip side of the coin, went into the shop yesterday, received excellent service renewing 3 season tickets; called Pete this morning, and he sorted out another matter within a short period of time. Also, really pleased with merchandise recently purchased from the Super Store.

On the flip side of the coin, went into the shop yesterday, received excellent service renewing 3 season tickets; called Pete this morning, and he sorted out another matter within a short period of time. Also, really pleased with merchandise recently purchased from the Super Store. Tbf the OP could have posted that he went in the club shop and the staff took a flame thrower to his family and you'd still flip the coin. |

Just to clarify he was very polite and apologetic so no reflection on him at all but I just thought it strange that he'd tell me about unpaid bills and wouldn't sell "display" stock when it was just pinned to the wall. |

I’m pretty sure if my employer found out I was telling our customers that the business wasn’t paying its bills, that they would take very dim view, true or not !

I'm afraid nothing new here as some suppliers, one whom supported the club through relegation out the league and back was dropped with a few others with bills pending. Circa 2019.
But hey it might be the club you all recognise, not for me though...

Love the fact that a couple of fans have come up with this brand. Recognising the logo is the same as asking someone if they are on the square after a handshake. |

If you go to the SC matchday shop, the volunteers will be happy to serve and have a chat about all things Rovers. Sweets, books, programmes and a whole host of other stock is also available. |

Extremely unprofessional. The sort of thing you would only likely do if you were at the end of your tether and did not give a flying f@ck about the consequences. I wonder if the bills not being paid extend to their wages or something? Or maybe they are just sick of having to explain away why stock levels are low (blaming suppliers or transportation or something)? But this isn't like any other business. Customers are most likely fans who are interested in and knowingly contribute to the financial state of the club. If you tell them that stock is low because bills aren't being paid then you must know that they will likely be concerned with this revelation and there would be a good chance of this information being shared on social media etc. All pointing back to the source. Quite silly of them really. Could get themselves in a bit of trouble  |
