Following some leads of other teams, is there a desire out there for us to follow suit and have a Gas TV media outlet pre and post matches with our own commentary/pundits, ex player expert analysis and general Gas talk?
If so, how far away are we from this?
iFollow are the whole EFL match day revolution. We'll never turn back from this. Following other feeds from other clubs, even (no disrespect to) Leyton Orient have their own coverage, possibly taking or renting the pictures from Ifollow, but have their own pre post half time chat and replays..... it's like a bespoke TV channel for them......which is nothing new in the world of football, but for 3rd tier is pretty progressive.
Does anyone see this similar for us?
Where's Andy Warren and Dave....?
I see us so far behind everything, we'll probably be the 90th club to project such a service and even then it'll probably be on VHS.

We’ve not even managed to bring back the scoreboard screen to the ground so not sure Gas TV is around the corner. Presuming a screen at the ground is in plan can we get one that lasts more than 2 games before sections malfunction!

Hahaha! That's about right.
I remember we played Liverpool in youth cup final around a million years ago at the Mem....that was the first match I could remember transmitted live but not on terrestrial TV, it was on Liverpool's own TV channel. Which was a new innovation back then..
Slowly but surely, many other clubs have followed suit.
It isn't just a good service for those that want to eat drink live breath all things Bristol Rovers, it also offers important revenue streams and marketing opportunities.
Leyton Orient were advertising away travel to their fan base with ticket prices, all very professionally produced.
I wonder why we are always behind in these sorts of opportunities because it's coming one day, maybe not today or tomorrow, but soon ...
Then it'll be sold as it has a value, no doubt.

Don't know about Gas TV, but we were ahead of the game with Pirate Radio back in the 60s. 😎

With up to 16(?) of our games being shown on Sky Sports from next season, I'm not really sure this is the time to start thinking about producing our own TV programme?

I was having a discussion on Saturday with a mate while at the game. One of the things I see at the moment is that there isn't a connection at the moment between the players, the fans and the management team. We had an almighty connection with Collins, the traffic lights will be talked about for years to come and there would have been about 15,000 people there at the time! If you get the opportunity, have a look at what Argyle have done. I know they are in the championship, but they were creating their own content in our league too. Charlton do it to. When we played up there, they had Alan Curbishley doing the half time pundit role.

Even when we played them last season, it was interesting getting a bias opinion from opposing viewers. Interest apart, it's a huge connection tool like you post but makes business sense. The only thing I would worry about would be the propaganda opportunity and how it could be exploited. It's just a no brainer but we always seem to be behind the curve.

Won't that apply to every club that already have this media outlet too? Anyways, it's more than a TV programme, it's a whole Gas channel. When you look at other clubs productions, some of them very modest clubs, their output is very professional. We could control contents and analysis and even make it look like we know what we're on about!?

Wycombe launched something like this a couple of years back: www.wwfc.com/wandererstv/They got the guy who does their pod to present it and do the commentary for the games too. Really nice bloke, obviously a huge fan.

Match replays and extending highlights on iFollow, manager and player interviews on YouTube and the Close Quarters videos from the matches and training ground? We've even Macca interviewing an LGBT+ fan this week. Our problem is we don't seem to have a website linking all the videos on one website, you have to follow all of them plus X/Twitter to see all the videos the club produces.

Be interesting to see what happens to these club TV channels next season when Sky take over EFL TV coverage. With I follow, clubs could opt out which meant the likes of Charlton and City could broadcast their games on their own channels but can't imagine this will be the case with Sky.
