Well done percy, you’ve kept us up to date with the new squad.👍
Now AE has gone we need to add to that area.
I’ll be more confident about the season once I see wingers and strikers being added. Well done everyone so far but it’s been a theme over the past few years that we recruit defenders and midfielders and then stop. Ruel S is a very good signing, I think, but we need others up front.

One advantage over previous seasons is that we've done the defensive side very early, got our major outgoing done early and have a little war chest to spend. Still have to see if we can finally get a good balanced squad and the goals needed to put us further up the table. So far so good and I think MT and GF have done a good job.

I think the building of the squad has been very purposeful which suggests a lot of players had been targeted and had agreed transfers in principle before the end of the season.
Seems MT isn’t likely to be apologising that his targets had been offered better deals to go elsewhere which seemed to be the excuse at the beginning of most previous seasons. It also shows in AE’s case we don’t lose a crucial player we can’t replace right as the window closes.
Therefore I’m very optimistic MT will get in another young pacy forward and whoever we need to complete the squad to demonstrate he does have a clue and the contacts to build an exciting new Bristol Rovers and his monotone voice has excited the new players to buy into this latest project.

Few players that have ability to play more than one position. |

You would hope that MT's input is more of a this is the kind of player I want. Then GF/CS go out and get some options, present to MT and then they rank them 1st choice, 2nd choice etc with a budget against them. Then GF/CS go out and negotiate and sign the players. Then we get the segregation between manager and recruitment that we need to survive as a club. |

I think the club has more or less kept things under wraps with the latest dealings , dare I say it , I’m actually impressed with how the transfers both in and out of gone so far. Perhaps we're just waiting to see if Hunt will be fit, or even still here, for the start of the new season, if not, it might mean we can offer him a better deal? |

Priority must be for 2 or 3 forwards, surely. We've pretty much got three players for each position otherwise to choose from.

Suggest we need before departures:
- combative box to box midfielder.
- a winger
- a lead the line striker.
Assuming we're looking to play wing backs. Otherwise I'd suggest 2 wingers.
