I feel the return of DC would not even sort this shower out. Mass clear out required, Starting with the cheating Wilson the first out the Door.

Are we missing Aaron Collins? I know he had gone of the boil but he is still top of our assists chart 📈 and contributed to a more exciting style of play. Scored a hatrick for Bolton today. God help us next week! 100% we are. We play Bolton next week and who will the whole defence have an eye on? Aaron Collins. Why? Because he scores goals, he creates goals, he drifts into areas to pick the ball up and run at defenders, he has pace, skill and it will likely take 2 defenders to mark him out of the game. What Aaron Collins does for a team is also create the space for others and bring them into play. Hes almost as much as a threat by being a distraction as he is being in the penalty box. It was 100% the right decision to sell Azza but we needed to replace him straight away in Jan to keep the season alive as we didn't have enough in the team without him. The new owners weren't wiling to spend and here we are, exactly happening what I thought would happen. Facts are that JB and his crew blew the best budget we had in years on players that were too old, not fit enough to play a full season or not good enough. The real problem for the fanbase is that some fell hook, line and sinker for the BS and bluster that JB used to spout about how good he was tactically and how good we were as a team that he made people believe we were better than what we actually are. MT is just giving everyone a massive reality check that did fall under the Scouse spell and showing everyone this team is a just a mid table squad and there components in it that really aren't good enough to be where we want or where we all think we should be. Why does everything have to go back to slagging off JB, you've identified the issue we didn't replace AC in January and also ignored the fact Marquis is well beyond is best, a pacy winger (where's Vaughan gone?) and striker would have dealt with both of those issues but the owners decided to bank AC's transfer funds. JB had no control over those decisions. I'm not really sure why they needed to spend £250K on Conteh as however good he might become we hardly missed him yesterday and he was part the poor performances in the last two away games.

Generally 1 up front doesn't mean you score less. When we have the ball, it's supposed to be 3 up front. Seeing as though we have hardly any strikers, it's not surprising we set up like this🤣 Which was well known on the last Transfer window, we had a lack of attacking intent. And tbf it’s been the same for the last few windows. Always seem to be a striker we’re looking for. We went down in 21 because we recruited everything except a proper striker. UTG!

The Barton fan boys turning on Taylor is no surprise. Those with common sense realise he needs a full window to undo all of the horrific actions taken by JB on this club - bye-bye to the Liverpool mafia and the defined benefit playing pension scheme, and in with young and hungry players with ambition who can be arsed to play for the club.
Once we've ripped out the final dross of the racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, wife-beater thugs' signings we should be in a place where we can finally move forward.

Been saying this for a few seasons now, if we want to give promotion a real go we have to fork out for a decent centre forward. Think we’ve got the centre back with Taylor , just need some decent full backs . Honestly think we’re only 3 or 4 players away from a really good side.

No idea what we do with Wilson, as I can't see clubs will be lining up to take him off our hands. Baffling how he was part of Plymouth's promotion team last term.

We seem to have made a decision on the keeper and midfield picks itself (Evans, Conteh and Thomas) with a few useful options in reserve. Tighten up at the back and as you point out, the full back or wing back berths. I prefer a flat back 4 but if MT goes 3 central defenders with wing backs, then he may need to add more. What we need to avoid if possible is the wholesale changes we've been having so frequently. Our 2nd XI isn't too bad as back up but we need to invest in the starting line up. We are possibly half way so another 4-6 in is what I'd like to see. Quality/potential over sheer numbers.

I'm slagging of JB because he was a sh** L1 manager and it goes back to JB because JB and Jennings signed this whole squad of players bar Conteh, Vaughan and Aquilera, so I don't really need to pick out certain players(Marquis) when the collective squad isn't good enough. £250k on Conteh was a cracking piece of business and he was excellent when he first came in. I'm not sure of the excuse on Saturdays absence but he's going to be sold on and I wouldn't be surprised if that happens in the summer. Incidentally I thought he was the only player against Lincoln that actually tried and made things happen and he was the only one who came out with any credit.

Personally I'd start with yesterday's midfield, if Ward can't play 90 mins, rather than recall Conteh.

Let's remember this was a record signing which was given to Taylor by the board . We all knew poor Chris Martin will burn out and the man needs to be given full credit like Andy Rammell. Taylor should of focused on a striker early in the window This blame culture of pass managers isn't addressing the here and now. The fact is football is poor and the crowd is silent. I still can't understand why he plays one striker up front and they sit so deep at home. The Shrews manager in his post interview was very damming describing both clubs " As not division one teams and the performances well below divisionone standards ". A honest guy !.

Yes because we only had 1 DCM which was Finley because Bogarde had suddenly forgotten how to play football and was awful. Finley then got injured so it was a fortunate signing as well as a good one. Truth is topper were lacking in every area, there isn't one part of the team where its strength matches its depth. Across our whole squad only about 3 players would make it into a team in the top 6. The rest of them are bang average players and some won't even be playing L1 football next year. That's the reality.

Listen objectively to what he says about both clubs. Can't argue with much of what he said. That game certainly wouldn't have looked out of place in L2. That said, we had the better chances and therefore probably should have won. We all know we need a big rebuild in the summer. Including loans we'll probably see 10-15 new signings. Get to November / December and we'll have a good idea whether Taylor is the right man to help us progress. It's disappointing we look like we're going to just limp over the line but it shouldn't affect our start to next season as we'll have a practically new team. I'm not convinced about Taylor but he's working with another managers squad. A squad that finished 17th last season and were 16th when JB was sacked in late October. We can't really judge Taylor until next season.

But Argyle realised as soon as they had promotion that he wouldn’t be part of their Championship squad. They knew his limitations and that age had caught up with him. Sadly with us he’s been injured, which at his age, affects him more and that’s led to him being not so good. And perhaps he’s realised that hence the frustration which affects his attitude. Who knows, but whatever it is he’s not been as good as he was with Argyle. Sadly. UTG!
