as a life long supporter of Bristol Rovers I think it possible we been given another dud to go down with other recent appointees. I'll let you consider those failures. Maybe Joe Barton did have his failings which is none of my business here, but I always felt confident in getting some sort of result. So for those happy with the present regime I have seen it all before. a word to the wise, please get used to the saying
when results and performances are bad, please remember that "This is work in progress"

Started well when he first got here but this is becoming a little embarrassing, I get it "it's not his players and all that" but other managers have done fine at other clubs, very concerned about next season hopefully I'm so wrong and would give anything to be proven wrong. UTG

I thought we played quite well but our squads weaknesses were there for all to see. We only have one goal scorer in the squad and that’s Martin, if he’s marked out of the game we generally don’t score. We have no pace in the side whatsoever, Thomas is a tricky winger but hasnt much pace and is probably our fastest player. Taylor has to be given support financially and with recruitment and then we’ll see where he can take us. I’m judging Barton on what this squad does more than Taylor as other than one signing it’s Barton’s squad and I’m not saying Taylor is the answer I don’t know but he’s generally picking our best players and they seem to be trying so I’m not sure what more he can or could have have done up to this point other than mid table which to be fair is better than Barton , Tisdale or Garner did for us in league 1. Patience is key.

We’ve got to at least give him the summer guys
I get it it’s not been acceptable since the turn of the year however not really his players although I grant you his arrival speech basically was “this is a decent squad I’ll work with them to get a tune out of them” That said 6 games without scoring is pathetic.
I’m still behind him see what the summer brings.
If we are below 15th by turn of the year I’ll agree it’s not looking great and he’ll be in trouble

dear gasify No i DIDn't But in 70+ years saw more than most including managers So its results that Matter. We'll just have to see? Alas Its gas Then you don't know how we performed. We played well, tried to attack. Tried to score. For 10 mins in 2nd half we were running riot. Just can put the ball in the back of the net. The stats will show that we had chances. CM was falling over all game and didn't look fit. Maybe the number of games he's played without a preseason is catching up on him. We went toe to toe with a team aiming for automatic promotion. It was a reasonably good performance.

Did you go to the game today? I was at the game, what’s your point? You must have been watching a different game as the performance wasn't bad.

If that chance right of the start of the 2nd (1 of what seemed like about 10) the keeper somehow clawed away goes in it’s a different game

I was at the game, what’s your point? You must have been watching a different game as the performance wasn't bad. For what it’s worth how many points do you get for performing well? It’s the sixth consecutive game we haven’t scored a goal. Blew a 1920s record out the water, when you consider how many bad teams we’ve had here in that time and they have all managed to score within 6 games. I’m sorry but the old tried hard, played well stuff ain’t washing, this is a results business

Judge him once he’s had a couple of transfer windows If he had a couple of transfer windows we’d already be relegated. He failed to win an away game in a calendar year for Rotherham ffs. He’s basically turned us into them

Very concerning view from the Owner some time ago and his desire to have more younger Players next Season. Does this mean we may be setting a course for repeating the Garner Season which was very much Wael's vision. The Owner should have a look at recent history and formulate a creditable plan going forward. There is a worry that significant cuts to the budget may see us back in Div 2. We desperately need Players who really want to play for a whole Season and beyond. What has happened to Ryan Jones?

So how will this season end, 11 games without a goal or win, can any manager really survive such an awful end to a season?
