We need a nice early signing thats gonna get a buzz going around the place. I know it will never happen but even just a sniff of rumours would be lovely.
Something on the lines of that Friend has been in contact with his old mucker Julio Arca who has linked us in with a sensational Argentine forward dubbed the "Next Maradonna since the Geordie Maradonna".
Right now id even take a look at Sammy Ambeobi

My predictions for Tuesday afternoon 6 loans to return with our thanks. Hopefully Chelsea and Ipswich are keen to loan players back to us after this season! Released: Gibbons, Marquis, Gordon, Finley, Friend, Grant, Jones Extended/offered new deals: Hoole, Martin, Rossiter, Sinclair, Greenslade Put on list: Wilson, Brown, McCormick To a man that is exactly my wish list as well ... I think we might see two free signings in May but neither will have us excited. Not sure when the contracts start expiring - is it June 30th ? Hopefully some pre deals done in principle before that.

If you want rumours here's one, Roy Race and Blackie Grey seen at the Quarters recently, knocking on a bit but could do a job for a couple seasons!

And mine apart from I’d ditch Sinclair.

Not sure why so many are keen to keep injury-prone players, it isn't financially viable at this level. We cannot afford the luxury of Rossiter, Grant etc playing 5 games a season.
If Martin is on anything like the wages mentioned then there's no chance I would extend his deal either, especially after the headbutt incident. I would only be extending Hoole and at a push Sinclair.

Greenslade's isn't apparently being offered a contract.

I would keep Sincs 100%
He’s massively fit and a senior pro. Won’t be too many in that bracket that we can/should sign

If true about greenslade then that is extremely disappointing. Not given a chance at all. What is the point? Hopefully the rumours are wrong and he gets a short term deal and a chance to impress.

As much as i think Grant will be released and should be released, I do feel for him. Pre injury after coming to us from a heavily praised season at Plymouth, I thought we had a great prospect on our hands. No doubt injuries have really set him back - as has not having a "best" position. I hope he goes on to fully recover and have a good career. Can see a lower mid-table League 2 side taking a punt. I know he'll get lots of "good riddance" and "get rids" from some fans, but I wish him well and thank him for his efforts

Grant is too injured, so much so that I can’t actually believe it, it must be psychological.
I’m astounded that he’s played in 29 games this season as I can barely remember one

I think that's been part of the problem this season where high expectations very soon became underwhelming ones ...

Would you still class him as a youth player?? He's 20 now and not looked like breaking into the first team. He's not been great at non league level. At what stage do we release him?? We have players younger than him that might be given a go instead.
