If true about greenslade then that is extremely disappointing. Not given a chance at all. What is the point? Hopefully the rumours are wrong and he gets a short term deal and a chance to impress. Would you still class him as a youth player?? He's 20 now and not looked like breaking into the first team. He's not been great at non league level. At what stage do we release him?? We have players younger than him that might be given a go instead. I'd class him as a player we have invested time and money in and not (yet) given him a chance to shine. He seems to have worked on the physical side over the summer and looks ready for the mens game. Would rather we gave him a go pre season rather than see another released player go on to make it elsehwhere. Oxford City seem pretty happy with his performances! |

How can he look like breaking into the first team when he's on loan at Oxford City? What do other L1 youngsters do, goals wise, when they go out on loan to NL sides?

I recommended him when he was 8, and scoring 70 goals a season, Lee Msnsell loved him, never had a sniff here, lovely kid, really hope he does well when he gets his move. |

I can't see we can have a Development Squad until the Academy move to The Quarters once that's been redeveloped, as there's nowhere for them to train or play at present? This seems like another 3-5 years plan to me. |

Nothing controversial as that, it was on a Middle East tour. 🫣 There was a comic strip which followed the lives of a football team who volunteered early on in the war, can picture it but don't recall the name or comic it was in. May have been 'Spike', a short lived comic that ran for a hundred editions or so in the early to mid 80s. |
