So if the £15 charge is just covering the costs that the club incur for making the cards then presumably last season the club paid £15 for every card which I guess they will have factored in to the setting of ST prices? Now that the club are saving all these thousands of £15 card manufacturing costs has that too been factored into this years ST prices and that we should therefore be grateful that this years prices are lower than they could have been? 🤔 They don't need to re-make my card, the one I already have works fine so what's the £15 for if I don't want a brand new one? Pretty sure none of my Banks don't charge £15 for new debit, credit cards on any of my accounts.

Although I doubt Posh take a £5 hit every time they send out a replacement card?

I'm not having any of this sh** . They are discriminating against people that are not disabled. If it was the other way around, all hell would break loose. My arrangement with the ticket office/ shop was quite clear. Your card would be sent to you at a later date. No mention of digital crap. I told them the same last time around, and I have told them the same this time. I refuse to pay £15 for a piece of plastic that costs pennies to produce. This is a clear breach of the arrangement that was made at the time and I am disgusted that the Board of Directors have tried to sneak this charge on honest fans in clear contravention of agreements made. I am still awaiting Mr Gorringe reply to me having serious thoughts about cancelling my ticket for a full refund. It's a despicable act. Whatever the ticket shop told you is pretty irrelevant as it's clear this decision was made by the owners. Given the 14 days is up to cancel your contract then good luck getting a full refund from the club when they are under no obligation to refund you. You are indeed correct. The decision was taken by the owners. Sadly for them, it was after my contract/ agreement with BRFC. That arrangement consisted of myself being informed that my new card would be posted to me at a later date. If they want to deny this, then let them. It's what happened wether they admit it or not. I tell no lies to anybody. The charge of £15 was introduced after I paid for my season ticket. Which is not the way to treat people, or conduct a business.

Another tick for 6 people not to renew.we will probably end up doing normal things for normal people on Saturdays now. They are not gaining support just losing the long term ones It's hard to imagine 6 people don't have access to a mobile phone between them. Totally not the point Topper, they are aloof, pricing people out of the club, look at the fan base, all ageing. Today at my son’s football practice outside of Bristol by some distance, nine out of thirty kids in City shirts, not one Rovers shirt to be seen. Telling people it will be cashless, telling people to go digital. Stuff them and the fools that agree with them, football was a people’s game, now it’s some rich boys plaything. I’m seriously at the end with this club and their attitude towards fans, not customers as they see them.

Price the kids out of attending matches for the next 5 years until the stadium is upgraded then we will give away free shirts with our season tickets like them. Awful business decision.

I agree and it’s the language our club are using: Quote: “We feel we are extremely fair priced as we cover costs only and in the recent future the cards will be stopped with the new stadium and no option but electronic will be available, and everyone has to move electronically.” Note the word “has”, not welcoming or understanding to some of their customer/supporters needs. ….meanwhile across the river in a stadium light years ahead of ours in build and technology:

Those disabled just don't know how lucky they are. Did you know they get to park on double yellow lines? It's just reverse prejudice, as a white heterosexual able bodied male, I get discriminated against every day.

When we are down in National League South with these business decisions. Premier League, jokers, couldn’t even organise the food stalls to have enough stock on a Leagie game.

Is it just kids? Purchased two East Stand tickets, on over 65 last year, no no early bird discount then. Earl Bird prices for this season show and increase for over 65 of 17% while the other was -2%. In the need for fairness (or before anyone asks) the rise this year going from non early bird to non early bird was 33% for over 65 and 8% for normal. What does this say about the owners good business lowering the amount of concessions to get more money or failure to understand the fan base?

The East stand last season cost less than West Stand, so there was an element of catchup before any inflation type increase.

You can hardly blame the new owners or even Wael for that, Lansdown, like Man City's owners, has "bought" those shirts by investing vast sums of money in the club he's clearly content just to write off. Although assuming they were in south of the river you're not going to get lads wearing Rovers even if the new owners were giving away kids s/t's. As Gasify stated a few times this outrage about digital cards is all OTT, at the end of the day the vast majority of fans aren't affected by the decision. Football as been a rich boys plaything as long as I can remember, neither GF nor NH were hardly just working class fans like the rest of us.

When i get online tickets, i print them off on paper and use the paper copy. I have never used an app to get into a game yet. Are we going to be able to do that as that will not involve the club in any additional cost?

Are we going to be able to do that as that will not involve the club in any additional cost? Fairly certain you can just print off the QR/Barcode you are meant to save to your electronic Wallet and use that. If that does work just getting it laminated will save you £15.

The season just gone, then yes. The season ticket was simply a QR Code. It depends if there is NFC (Near Field Communication) like when you use you bank card contactless. if so, that wouldnt work.

No this was in a previous stronghold of Rovers near Bath, not South Bristol or Taunton. What will those kids follow in the future? This was just one age group, My son is one of three maybe out of 200 at the club that wear one. It’s now beyond a rich boys play thing now, the prices are crazy, the entertainment is worse, and you’re most likely to still get wet. Hey ho, we are Rover fans and we will bow down to the masters and doff our caps, walk in urine soaked toilets and see what pay increases they do season 25/26.

Also given there are less seats in West Stand there never seems to be season tickets available after take up by previous holders not sure if comparable.

I've been beating this drum now for years Somerset. We have stood still for decades with regards encouraging youngsters to the mem and allowed the majority to go down the gate. It's too late. The next generation of fans in this city are red now. And our owners seem to think that by doing nothing this will improve once we have a few more Lego stands for them to sit in and they will come flooding back. They don't understand how a fan base is built at a football club.
