I was asked by a Cardiff supporting friend about our squad, and my favourite current player. To be honest I struggled, the best player (Evans) is not the same thing. I can't put my finger on why.
In years gone by I felt connected to at least one player in every team, from Mickey Barrett to Devon White, Richard Walker to The Beard, and many more.
Conteh got my vote, who gets yours ?

Know what you mean - it’s a struggle for me. Now with the present squad. Was usually the main goal scorer for me or the winger who made exciting forward runs. Struggling to give you an answer

Luke Thomas, plays like he cares and can actually make his direct opponent feel uncomfortable.

Marquis for me. I know he struggled to put the ball in the back of the net but I always thought he put in the effort and ran his socks off for the cause.
Saw him interacting with younger fans, a model professional in that regard.

Connor Taylor - Signs for us a season after signing what would have been a decent Stoke contract. Always seems up for it and determined. Hopefully will rediscover his form now he has had the surgery as he wasnt the same player after the injury.

Currently I have no favourite. In all my years I have only had two. When I started watching it was John Frowen and in later years Jason Roberts.

No favourite from me I’m afraid , Of recent years gone by it would be Linsey and I’ve always had a soft spot for Manse and 50 pence piece head ( Mchrystal )

Jed Ward. One of our own.
Outfield it's Evans, but I think I'll need a new answer in a month or so.....

Luca hoole, always trying and committed. Honourable mentions to Luke Thomas and Connor Taylor. Luca was out of his head with excitement when he scored a headed goal away at can’t remember towards the end of the season before last, I genuinely believe he has a high ceiling and hope he gets there!

My current favourite is Jed Ward, followed by Scott Sinclair and Luca Hoole, with Evans and Thomas pushing Luca hard for the bronze medal position. There is something about home-grown players which appeals, even though SS made his name elsewhere. I hope Conteh will be a favourite in years to come.

I think the last player we had who was worth the admission price alone was Ricky Lambert. Some more recent gems have been Tom Lockyer, Clarke-Harris and maybe a fully fit Billy Bodin - but they weren't legendary.
Honourable mention to the double promotion team, but hey were a team of battlers rather than individuals.
Connor Taylor would be my pick from this team.
