The analyst Mahoney seemed to disappear pretty quickly only months after his appointment (promotion to new role). Just saying. Not sure what you are implying, was he the victim or the culprit? Regardless would you turn down a move to Huddersfield if you were Mahoney?? All I heard at the time from a former first-team employee and someone still working in the game was there was some sort of falling out with the management and he was put on "gardening leave". I haven't been able to verify that with anyone else, but his departure did seem strange at the time. Fair play to him for getting the Huddersfield job, they're a big club for the level.

I agree sir , tis’ getting a bit tedious on here of late , roll on the football coming back …… You're last few post have hardly been singing the club's praises? Only in regards to not having a finance option for season tickets. I think that’s a fair one , is it not ? Posts appearing to knock the club for advertising a vacancy , now that’s daft.

Putting a positive spin on it, perhaps Kevin Bond, Anssi Jaakkola & Jamie McAllister were all on short-term contracts which ended at the end of the season and haven't been renewed (although KB was offered a new contract), as with many players.
Thus one / two months wages saved.
Hoping that Wayne Carlisle already onboard as No. 2 to Matt Taylor and alongside George Friend planning and looking to sign players ready to commence pre-season training in just over two weeks. They are now looking to bring in a coach to work with them, starting also on July 1st. Certainly different to be advertising on LinkedIn, but can hardly be accused of "a job for your mates".

All the more reason to give the Manager our utmost support .... he has been let down by so many in his short tenure....
Think we need some good news asap -
Whilst other clubs are building, our Club seems to be slowly collapsing from within. Fully appreciate the needed clear out of staff behind the scenes and in the playing squad but lets soon learn of their replacements with far better and more dedicated people.

We seem to be shrinking in terms of ambition, outlook and attitude. People are departing so fast and frequently that it's hard to keep up.
I think the aim of the owners is to downsize the club to get the balance sheet looking healthier and hope for a bit of luck and chemistry to keep us going until I don't know what.

i seem to remember that Darrell Clarke responded to an advert and that didnt turn out too badly Thought he responded to an offer from JW during a phone call? In an interview it said that he read that Rovers were looking for a new assistant manager and so rang John Ward on the pretext of trying to arrange a pre-season friendly and then turned the conversation to the vacancy . He didn’t clarify where he read about the job but he had never met John Ward before so it’s pretty similar to the situation we are in now in that he effectively applied for the job
