It is True, came from his mouth. And also Trial was cut short as Taylor and McCallister didn't think he was good enough! Perhaps 2 months later and many deals fallen through has prompted rovers to act, and also the lure of a 4 year deal on half decent money has swung it! Isn't that a different version on the original, where you suggested the player himself cut short the trial as he thought it was a waste of his own time as it was so poorly ran? Also True, but in fairness he did have another trial set up to go to and had told a few he was having a kick about with 'that the training was awful, away from the first team and with fringe players and players that had been on loan at the time'. It was thought of at the time that it was beneficial for both parties to part. That being said he has potential the lad but a long way to go from playing Step 2 Football to League football like most at that age. Hoping he gets a chance and does the business because Christ we need it! Also being local and knowing i was going to be at a pro club for the next 4 years is a no brainer for him and pretty local too! |

Looking at lots of video clip Dan seems to be a very good prospect. Very good in the air, good tackler and very good long passes. Seems very right footed. Never saw him use his left foot once. Even when easier to play a left footed ball he was hitting it with the outside of his right foot. Very exciting prospect just a shame that he is not left footed. Will be competing against the likes of Taylor and Wilson for a right sided centre back place. Think that he could progress to the first team quicker than people think.

Really is nice to see us sign some local, young, non-league talent. Most exciting signing so far for me as a romantic.
Sounds like the potential is there, hope Gas Heads will get behind the lad and treat him as one of our own. With luck this will be a fantastic signing.
