No surprise … Crap draw … possibly winnable though Another awful draw for the club. Eh? It works for me. A home game 👍. UTG!

Why is it awful? Seems really good to me. Fairly local club, some rivalry, decent stadium, decent attendance, make a bit of money, play good but not unbeatable opposition. Bewildering opinion. Are you a spin doctor ?. ' make a bit of money ' & ' decent attendance' When they played Pompey a few years ago they had 6k. I would of imagine teams lose big money on early rounds . I expect we will take 1k and the gate be around 5-7k. I'm a bit bewildered by your over positively !. So if a local derby against a nearby decent Welsh team is an 'awful' draw, could you please let me know what you think a 'good' draw would be? Genuinely interested.

To be honest I’ve never really cared much for this cup , but that’s probably because we’re bloody rubbish in it most seasons 😂

I think the League Cup is just about hanging on to its diminishing credibility, like a man dangling from a crumbling cliff edge with his fingernails. But it's getting less likely he will cling on with every minute. Same for the League Cup. Probably utterly pointless within 5 years and on a par with the Mickey Mouse Cup. Probably they'll be merged soon.

I mentioned it 4-5 hours ago in this thread and explained the reasons why . The only profitable draw would be City ideally at home. Cardiff played a premiership team : championship team and now leauge one side in this competition and averaged between 5-6 k at home in last 3-4 years. Fans don't turn up to this competition in early rounds unless we play City or a big prem team like Chelsea a few years ago. P.s I even predicted Cardiff as a possible team we could play .

I assume the recently announced friendly with Cardiff can't now go ahead? Maybe we can ask for dispensation for this to be over 2 legs ?

Looking at the Southern Section of the draw none of the ties stand out, apart from perhaps Cambridge v QPR.
In the Northern Section if the Sheffield United v Wrexham had been the reverse fixture it would have looked like the draw had been fixed.

Cardiff away! At least its not a long trek to go out. Yeah decent draw, it should be a good day out. Bit of a jolly with low expectations of getting anything out of the game. Standard Rovers away day. Cardiff is an awesome City with a loyal fan base who back their team no matter what. Been many times for football , rugby, gigs, clubs or just for a day out as a tourist. If I was in the UK , I’d be there……..much better draw than last seasons trip to Ipswich. Cost me an absolute fortune, and TBH it was such an uninspiring Town ( Football aside).

Yep , Carabao been running for a while now, just like Government, sponsors get fed up after a while so do electorate ,the sponsors will change as will the Government and we will get an even more pointless cup competition and a new Government led by an even more pointless PM ! and so the cycle goes on!

We will get 2900 plenty, we should take at least 2k I reckon and we will out sing the Cardiff massive, it should be interesting as I will be in their end! 😱 UTG!

I was at the Chelsea game a few years back, the noise we made that night was incredible. Nothing (for me anyway) beats a really vocal gas invasion. 2k+ gas sounds good to me.
