Unless we hear differently, presumably Luca Hoole is no longer a Bristol Rovers player although I guess we still hold his EFL registration. There has been little or no mention of him since season end, other than he has been offered a new contract to cover off any compensation payment that the club will be entitled to if he signs for another club.
Will MT want him at the The Quarters I wonder - personally I don’t want him anywhere near the club, he’s had long enough to make his mind up and imo can only mean he wants away and good luck to him.

It is a tricky one. When he signed his last contract, he was showing really good potential to be a top league 1 RB/RWB, was getting international recognition and was rumoured to be on the radar of a lot of other clubs and so I would imagine the contract he has been on for the last couple of years is a decent wage for someone of his age and his experience.
Unfortunately, he hasn't quite progressed in the way I think we all hoped he would and I think we have probably offered him reduced terms to reflect his new place in the squad. I have a feeling he probably does want to stay but I am sure many of us would struggle to accept a new contract if it was on significantly reduced terms if other offers were out there so he may try and hang on and negotiate as much as possible.

I doubt we have offered him worse terms (to ensure we get compensation) but may have offered him a year to prove himself. So he may be looking for more security. Guess we will find out soon enough! |

Perhaps we've offered him an improved offer on 3+1 year contract like other new signings. Would keep our Welsh International numbers up after loosing Collins. Perhaps championship clubs are sniffing around so delaying him signjng |

I’d be happy to see Luca stay, I still think he has potential. But if he’s not likely a starter, I don’t blame him for looking elsewhere and it may be best for him to move on. Fair play to the lad though, he’s been good for us overall and was a big player in our promotion.

Wish Luca well, was great in league 2, but has struggled imo in league 1. Can't rely on having a bit of pace, tended to get found out defensively.

I think Hoole fits the profile of what we’re trying to do and I hope he stays. He also shows youth players there is a pathway. |
