Just don't but too much into pre season games. Alot of our lads played Tuesday and I believe were slightly ahead of Swansea in the schedule. Both an advantage and disadvantage. We also appeared to play without a proper striker which you'd imagine won't be true come August. I think you've gotta look at structural/ individual things. From those highlights I liked: - Hutchinsons ability under pressure. - Scotty being Scotty - LT pressing higher up, whilst he can do Wingback, think CAM will suit him nicely. - Bilingos assist. - Saw a turn of pace from Mola. A little worried that our attacks all seemed from long/ or counter attacking play but hard to establish build up.We know that MT likes to play the pressing game and use the transitions to score. I'm quite happy for the opposition to have possession as long as we win it back and turn defence into attack straight away. I get bored with watching us pass it along our back line. England were boring playing like that too.

Who was the No.19? Was the No.2 near the end Connolly? Wilson gave away the pen with a rash challenge and his long ball from the back nearly gave them a 2nd goal To be fair Wilson did then clear the ball off the line to redeem himself. It looks like Connolly had a shocker as he was beaten twice in virtually identical moves, fortunately for him the Swansea player failed to score on the second occasion.

I’d be happy for Connolly to be loaned rather than sold, I think there is a player in there but needs more time at L2 (maybe top NL) then re-assess. Wouldn’t be sad if we got Baggott on loan instead!

He's too old and slow to play in a two but I think in a three his experience will be invaluable. Just needs to realise his limit is a 20yd pass along the ground. Also think he knows he has competition for a starting place and he wanted to make a point yesterday....just got it wrong although in the clip he is pleading with the ref that he got the ball. Will have to look again about the clearance. Nothing I've seen since Connolly has joined us makes me think he's a league 1 CB....I know he's young and is likely to improve but I think his ceiling in league 2....hope to be proved wrong!

I'd take 50k for Connolly let the lad go to league two side and get 30-40 games a season.
He's currently our 5th choice.

It's hard to judge our attacking performance when both Martin and the new signing were missing and so we didn't play with a recognised striker.

Hutchinson 👌 Thomas' reaction, or lack of one, was a bit odd, does Scott do that all the time in training or was he just annoyed Hutch didn't pass to him? Where was Scoff playing, centre forward?

Hutchinson 👌 From what I've seen pre season we've got a player on our hands in Hutchinson. Going to be important he stays fit if we're to have a good season. Or at least beat the drop 😆

Any idea if Lindsey played or has played any minutes yet ? Unless somebody spots him on the video it's impossible to know as Rovers, unlike Swansea, have had a virtual media blackout apart from a single tweet. Who's No 24? x.com/Official_BRFC/status/1814389750184456326/photo/3
