Is he the new wing back then to cover injuries🤣. If we are playing with wing backs, we must be planning on playing him through the middle? A good scoring record, if he played mainly it wide. Positions played from transfermarkt

Sat reading this the the Blue Lagoon on Gloucester Rd, while the band plays "love shack"
Got to be a song in that for Shaq Forde?

Looks decent from this YouTube clip, I know it’s only a compilation and it’s the best bits of his game blah blah blah, but there’s a couple of serious finishes amongst that lot mind… Nice way to end the window, this.

Anyone else think it’s a reaction and they feel we’ve signed a dud in promise? No , I think only an idiot would think that at this point

Didn't Promise play mainly as a wide player last season? Good scoring record, for someone that played mainly out wide. A lot of Watford fans unhappy they sold him and positive feedback from Orient fans. Looks a good signing on paper. One none of us were expecting!

One none of us were expecting! Yeah I’m intrigued by how we use him, as unless we switch to a back four (which seems unlikely at this stage) the only place he really fits is up top. Reckon it’ll be Promise in one of the striker slots (with The Donk as his backup) and Ruel/Shaq battling it out to partner him.

One none of us were expecting! Could see it being a fluid front 3, but also adaptable. 3-4-3, or 3-4-1-2, or 3-4-2-1, or 4-2-3-1 etc. Could play a front two with either of Sotiriou, O'Donkor, Omochere and Forde, or one up top, with Sotiriou, and/or Hutchinson/Forde/Sotiriou in behind. Plenty of options for the management to consider.

Anyone else think it’s a reaction and they feel we’ve signed a dud in promise? No. Definitely not. Give the guy a chance, we’ve only had 3 league games. He’s played ok from what I’ve seen. Played his part, not brilliant but has contributed. Both signings today appear to be signings that we should take a chance on. Gatlin, thought well of at Oxford to give a new deal and Shaq could be a very good signing. Was beginning to think we were repeating ‘20 but instead of signing no forwards we’ve signed Promise, Sotiriou, now Gatlin and Shaq. No guarantees with any signing, we have to trust GF and MT have got it right but at least we completed the squad. I’d say well done MT etc. but only time will tell us that. ps. DC pushed the boat out at Barnsley signing Keillor-Dunn and Stephen Humphrys today. Now he’ll be under a different kind of pressure. Will need to succeed. K-D a decent scoring record. Humphrys, meh. They used to rave about him after a short but good loan spell at Southend but has since flattered to deceive. Perhaps DC can get him going. UTG!

Looks a good signing.
Like most players at this level, I have rarely heard of or remember them unless they stood out against us.
Welcome Shaq.

He offers more than just goals with his physical presence and adaptability, especially in the modern age with often only one traditional CF used. If DC can get him playing a bit more between the 18 yard box and use his attributes there to good effect, I think he can add even more goals to his impressive all round game.

The Not The Top 20 (NTT20) podcast guys were doing a live transfer day blog and this was their verdict...
"George Elek 23.22
Shaq Forde (RW/ST) [Watford to Bristol Rovers] - Undisclosed
Gasheads weren’t over the moon with the signing of striker Gatlin O’Donkor this morning due to the perceived lack of proven quality, but in Forde they’ve signed a player who showed in his first EFL loan that he is more than capable of having a positive impact in League One.
Capable of playing up front, Forde is best used off the right-hand side where he can cut inside onto his stronger left foot. He’s a modern-day inside forward whose goal-scoring ability from wide is his biggest threat, and I would be surprised if he didn’t break into double figures this season after scoring nine league goals for Orient last campaign."

A positive signing - more intent shown from the owners & manager to build a young team - looking good.

No doubt some will demand an explanation why we didn’t sign Raheem Sterling or Jadon Sancho
