I think you can hear it being sung on the 1978 FA Cup ties against Southampton and Ipswich Definitely - I was at both off those games and we did sing it at that time. Also, if I recall correctly, a lot of the time it was sung as a kind of act of defiance if we were losing, to gee up the players.

To be honest, I don’t remember it being sung at Eastville in the 70s and 80s. Seemed to make a real comeback at Twerton. Bizarrely looking back now, You’ll Never Walk Alone was very popular on the Tote.

As an Exeter city fan i love this song and Ive sang it many times watching rovers (not against Exeter of course!). I was at the Fulham game and remember it belting out. There's been so many times Ive almost lost my voice singing it. Had goosebumps listening to the podcast and watching the Fulham clip. Shame that in recent years the full song doesnt get sung anymore or maybe it is? Anyway great song and history as well.
Glad it was pinched off Argyle!
