Pirate, not sure all recruitment is down to ETH. And as said, won a trophy in each of his seasons. And let’s face it, all these comparisons with Fergie are a tad silly. If Fergie had been managing in the PL at the start of his time he never would have won anything. He’d have been sacked after failing to do what he was brought in to do. It was only the cup match v Forest and winning the FA Cup that saved him. Great manager but different times. UTG! 10 signings (11 if you include Mount's loan) are players that have played in the Eredivisie - I think he's had a big say in recruitment. He pushed to spend out close to £90m on the likes of useless Antony for example, his former player at Ajax. I forgot all about Mount, I bet he regrates moving north!

Chelsea had them bent right over with what Utd paid for Mount with only 1 year left on his contract.

I won’t bite Topper. But… ”Radio 5……” aren’t always right. Yes Anthony was bad but several others were ok. I presume you mean Zirkzee, who’s barely had a chance yet. And I thought Ineos and Jim Ratcliffe was supposed to sort the mess out and help the team. It got worse and he stays. Glad to see that so far no one’s disagreed about him winning two cups, something most of us Rovers fans could only dream of! And of course in the end who really cares, it’s Man U. UTG! Cups are fairly meaningless in the top fight it's all about finishing in the top 4, Rovers, and even City, really have no relevance to what goes on in the Premiership as it's almost like a different sport. Yes, unfortunately you’re correct. I’d still not call it failure though and that was my main point originally. But as you say it’s almost a different sport, definitely a different world. UTG!

If people in Bristol gave as much of a F##k about the Manchester clubs as they do in Manchester about the Bristol clubs we might have a chance of being a decent size club!

Manchester United tonight 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Amazing what having the shackles taken off and a little freedom to express yourself as a player can do. Crowd bouncing and smiles on faces too.

I forgot all about Mount, I bet he regrates moving north! I bet Utd regret signing him. Chelsea had them bent right over with what Utd paid for Mount with only 1 year left on his contract. Yet we are the ones getting bent over when we sell players in their last year

Amazing what playing against a 2nd string 11 from a team that has just been promoted and fighting relegation can do for your confidence.

I’ve just listened to his interview after the Exeter game, he’s only gone and used the term “Box Entry” Christ is this what they are taught at St George’s Park? So so dour.

Hate to say it,. because I really want him to do well, but its a fair comparison. We doubt we would have a long list of managers queuing up to take over a club where it reported the Owners son picks the team.

Ten Hag had one of the biggest clubs in the world in 14th place below clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford, whilst Matt Taylor has a 3rd/4th tier yo-yo club (in recent times) 17th in the third tier above a recent FA Cup winner.
Not really a great comparison 😂
