Would be nice to see us come out positive and at least look like scoring the first goal.
2-2

Sadly I can only see MT setting us up as we finished the last game with 5 at the back. We'll be 3 or 4 down before he changes it to lose the game 3 or 4-1. I'd love to be proved wrong.

If we go there and take the game to them , press them when they have the ball and give them No space outside our box we have a chance. MUST win the midfield today.
Oh and Griffiths needs to own his six yard boxβ¦
Point would be a good result in my eyes.

Weβre going to lose 1.9 - 1.6 on xG today but take all the three points by a rogue piratey goal.

Nice op. Optimism pushes us on, but ultimately it's the hope that kills us.
Playing a team away on same points as play off teams, ast winning 4-1 at home is a challenge indeed let alone our own performance problems.
But ...3/4 wins is something we can't ignore and there is a work ethic, so..........who knows?!
I still think we'll get trounced. MT looks to have assembled some reasonable players, but not a good team. Yet. So:
3-1 to them. Regulation away defeat. Scotty to impress and get consolation.
Please prove most of us wrong on an early kick off!

Hoping we set up with the same formation, just Mola coming in for Sousa Reading play a back 4 so hoping MT isnt tempted to revert to a 3/5 Thomas could start or come on to impact 2nd half for Scotty.
2-2.

I think if we can get to half time at nil-nil we might be able to nick it 6-0 in the second half.

Love us to get a win to quieten the distractors but believe a draw would be our best result. Did think Griffiths did command his box better v Shrewsbury coming for quite a few successful catches. Hopefully the same again today 1-1

Unfortunately for MT we are up against one of the form teams (especially at home) so if we donβt get a result no matter how we play heβs goons get slaughtered!

Reading have won 6 or their 7 home games in all competitions. Three of those home wins were against Wigan, Charlton, and Huddersfield. They also beat QPR and Hull City at home in pre season.
They're 1 point away from having the best home record in L1. They've also scored 13 goals and conceded just 4.
They're in very good form having won 4 of their last 5 L1 games.
They're on the same points at Huddersfield with a game in hand. If they win their game in hand they're only 2 points off the top 2.
This is our toughest match of the season so far. If we come back with a point I'll be delighted.
I expect we'll lose, but what I want to see is a better 90 minute performance, not one where the entire game is played in our half the pitch, like the opening 45 at Huddersfield.
I'm going to go 3-0 Reading. Hope I'm wrong, but their home form is superb, and apart from 45 minutes at Burton, our away form is awful.

Nothing for us Today Guys unfortunately. Reading sitting nicely in the table on +3 GD , having played all the top teams. However I am feeling optimistic about the 2 cup games. LWW. UTG
