Nothing to do with their accent then? It’s from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”

So why buy BRFC ? Trading players may reduce losses, but it's highly unlikely they will cover £3m every year. Seen that Prem teams are buying more from overseas than Champ and thus Champ is buying less from League 1 etc. so even the Posh model under pressure. Plus of course little loyalty from players if they see themselves as passing through. Lincoln CEO admits that is their pitch to their prospective players So where is the money / exit ? Both Lincoln and Cambridge CEO's see value in their clubs, despite £3m losses each year. Interestingly league 1 was quoted as the 11th most watched league in the world. Only place I can see it from is the US and medium term TV rights as the Wrexham effect moves to other clubs I can just see it now, a Hollywood blockbuster, based on the time leaving Eastville and culminating in winning the league, defeating our rivals on the way. Perhaps we can get Ryan Reynolds playing the Gerry Francis role. In true Hollywood style, we can win the PL not L1 with a footnote at the end of the film, giving present day situation, they can call it ‘From Rags to Rags’ UTG Needs to be a scene where police chief Martin Brody walks in 'You're gonna need a bigger stadium"

None of us have a clue how much money they actually have and how much they are willing to spend long term. You would like to think that Wael looked into that, before deciding on who he was going to partner with. What would make you think he’d look into that? His priority will have rightly been getting his money or as much as possible back I would agree, if he wanted out all together, but not when he wanted to stay and remain part of the club. You want to know, who you will be working with and if they can help you. Especially if we had other offers, as others have said, but Wael didn't take them as he wanted people he could work with.

I didn’t say I do did I??? I just think he has done enough to be trusted that he obviously thought at the time they were right for the club so they must have been convincing. Not so sure why u are so down on him tbh

Not so sure why u are so down on him tbh Not sure why you’re so up on him tbh. In 8 years the achievements were minimal. The real big decisions he often got wrong (managers, board room members), we still have no stadium, the club financially is worse than it’s ever been. I’m sure he’s a really nice human being and a likeable person. He is simply not a very good football club owner or judge of character.

Agreed, if they aren't here to develop the ground and move this club forward then I don't get why they have bought the club at all.Would ask if the sensible offer is made that they accept, as you said, for the good of the club. Yes strange isn’t it. Unless Wael couldn’t do what he knew was needed so he wanted out a year ago and just sold to people who were prepared to buy so he got something back. Without necessarily completing due diligence to ensure they were the right buyers. All a bit chaotic perhaps. Ah well it is BRFC! 😉 UTG! What due diligence can Wael really have done apart from seek proof they have the finances to own a football club, which hopefully he obtained? It's still surprising he handled over the majority of his shares and so gave them full control to do what they wanted even though he still owned over 40% of the shares with his brother.

Wrote off debts etc around covid and kept us afloat. When he bought the club with his family we were worse off Haven’t got the ground down to awful deals offered to us but the other parties etc. Yea wrong managers I agree but wouldn’t get it all right. He has also got great stuff right for example the south stand. All I’m saying is these new owners aren’t showing the intent they claimed they have. No communication and lots of mistakes since coming in I just don’t feel they are right for the club Like I said people can have their opinion

No communication and lots of mistakes since coming in I just don’t feel they are right for the club Like I said people can have their opinion We’re financially worse than ever because we are losing more money than ever and we were totally reliable on one man. Now we’re totally reliant on two blokes who don’t get along. You say awful deals but a mod on here has given a very detailed overview on the UWE and Wael decided to insult us all with that video for a fruit market stadium that wasn’t even close to being finalised. That was frankly a water take. Is the south stand great? It’s basic at best. No concourse. Over budget, delivered late. Yes it’s better than what we had but I wouldn’t say it’s great. Every single mistake they have made was made by the man you’re defending early into his ownership and then continued. I don’t think the Kuwaitis are good. I’ve said to many they aren’t to be trusted. I simply can’t accept that everything was rosey and well and Wael is an innocent victim in all of this

For a charity event which couple of the players are involved in just shows how far apart they are from fans They need to come out and tell fans their intentions and give more communication but we both know they won’t

It’s because the club , under Wael’s leadership, wanted extortionate money. They also run as a non profit and have done lots to help out former players who are on hard times. Does this mean Wael and Gorringe were far apart from fans? I recall plenty of times that Twentyman said he had requested interviews but didn’t get one, until of course we got promoted from league 2. You can’t see past the end of your nose and it’s quite embarrassing

You may be right but if you accept that then you have to accept that there are no factors about owning a football club other than the ability to have enough money to buy one. The PL and EFL would obviously disagree. But if you think that, and if you’re right, then God help us all because BRFC will likely never attract the right quality of owner. But they may have enough money to placate the previous owner who may be desperate to sell. As to what due diligence Wael could have done. Well, given that he was still going to be owning 40% he could have satisfied himself about the practical ways on a day-to-day basis of how they would run the club and who would run it. Like me I suspect you have little idea as to whether Wael knew the son would be running the club as it appears he is, allegedly. If I was owning 40% of an asset I’d certainly be asking some questions to safeguard my part of the business. (Tbf you’re acknowledged that point in your last sentence). And yes, it is surprising he’s handed over what he has. On that basis I’d imagine he may have asked questions, sought some assurances over the running of the club but I’ve no idea if he did or didn’t which is why I wonder if getting some of his money back was more important than seeking assurances from the ASs. Either way it’s looking a bit chaotic at the moment. Isn’t it? UTG!

We really know nothing about the rumoured investors, if they are another group, or groups, Wael's found who's to say they are going to be any better than the last investors he found?

Any other factors are really just talk as once they own the club they really can just do what they want, I can't see any potential owners would have discussed with Wael that it was their intentions to dismiss JB/EJ & TG withing a few months of taking over. i agree it seems a total mess, we have the ALS wanting to go in one direction and Wael another, what doesn't help him is that the ALS have appointed all their own men in senior positions at the club and dismissed all of staff in senior positions, apart from MT you'd have to assume they'd support the ALS rather than Wael/new investors.
