I have been surprised just how many people ARE boycotting Sainsburys. Certainly since they decided they wanted to renege on a contract, I have refused to visit their stores or petrol stations. That is my own small way of showing my disapproval. Talking to different people lately made me realise there are quite a lot of them doing the same thing, probably just a small drop in Sainsburys ocean. How many on here are boycotting them and encouraging others to do the same I wonder.

They used to get almost a grand a month from me but no more.

I'm boycotting Sainsburies and have been for some time.
Used to do my 'big shop' there once a week, petrol and also lunch several times a week.
I would think they have lost the best part of 400-500 quid a month or more from me.

Still shopping at Sainsburys, Emersons Green! Sorry! Purely down to convenience. And yes, they get an awful lot of dosh from me! Also have a loan and motor insurance with them! I'm considering giving the loan back tho!!! Hats off to those that are boycotting!!! I'll move a leg of lamb into the electrical aisle next time I'm in there ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Did think there would be quite a few that filled trolleys of high value creams cheeses cheesecake type products and then desert them mid aisle so they would defrost or get warm quickly once out of the freezers. One could always say sorry, suddenly realised I've left my bank card at home if challenged. If no mention of Rovers I'm sure the store wouldn't realise there was an anti Sainsbury strategy

Would not say I am boycotting them, but have found myself spending less there. Petrol it is as easy for me to go in Sainsburys or Tesco, have found myself always filling up in Tesco. If I need the odd thing I still buy it there but have definately spent less since they started messing Rovers about. At the start of the stadium thing I was spending more with them on purpose as I felt they were backing the local community, not anymore .....

But then just as you're in aisle 33 your mobile phone rings. You have to rush off, and unfortunately leave the ice cream you so badly needed abandoned.

Used to be a regular shopper at Sains (about £800 a month) and now only go to a local 7 to 11 Sains late at night if desperate. Have enjoyed going elsewhere.

Proud to be avoiding all sainsburys outlets even when it's not convenient to do so. Have to say given that they have no scruples I am tempted to partake in a little civil disobedience - as an earlier poster referenced filling a shopping trolley with expensive frozen and cold items and then remembering an urgent appointment elsewhere. Probably drops in their ocean but it will help me sleep better at night something they shouldn't be able to do if they had any morals.

I won't ever shop there again. I like the idea of filling trolleys with perishables but it would have an enormous impact if 10 of us did it in the same store at the same time. Not only would the lost food cost them but also the man hours to sort and empty the trolleys out again.

I sneak extra Sainsburys carrier bags in with my shopping when using the self scan... I currently have 87,000 which I'll soon sell to fund the stadium.

Not only would the lost food cost them but also the man hours to sort and empty the trolleys out again. Better idea would be at least 20 of us fill the trolleys with as much as possible from all corners of the store then all go through the checkouts at roughly the same time. Let the cashier ring everything through the till then just before payment, hand them a leaflet, on it could say something like...' We have changed our minds, and no longer want to go through with this purchase,' (in much the same way as Shamesburys have done to Bristol Rovers. then walk out. The cashiers would have to deduct every item from the tills, then get another member of staff to put the trolley loads back, x20 it would be pure chaos and best of all totally legal. Maybe on the way out we all stop for £1 of fuel whilst chatting to each other for half an hour at the pumps. ![](http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy0193.gif)

Don't like the idea of wasting good food but the idea of filling a trolley with loads of small non perishables, getting to the checkout and then pulling out at the last minute would seem appropriate. I wonder how many trolley loads would equate to £30m?

I can also feel a car breakdown coming right in the entrance to their distribution depot in Emmersons Green.

The Emerson green site turns over nearly a million pound a day,if this site was hit at busy times,Easter, xmas etc let's say on 2 or 3 different sorties, you could bring it to a stand still.
