2 of possibly the biggest matches in our recent history coming up next - win them both and I reckon we might just be top of the pile with the home straight in sight. Up to us now to make a walk of sound at both matches from the warm up through to the 90th minute. No let up, make the opposition feel that they are up against 7000 opponents, create an intimidating atmosphere and ensure that the players feel the full benefit of what we gasheads can deliver. Remember, although it was in our early formative days this season, we have lost to both of these teams so take nothing granted. Let's not just turn up expecting a win, let's become part of it and play our part in making the wins happen.

Watched Altrincham the other week against Bath City. I saw nothing to be overly concerned about.Stephen Gillespie came on as a late sub,but done zilch.

Unfortunately Altrincham seem to be just the sort of side we come unstuck against. Can't see us losing but with our scoring problems (alright T Bone) I can see us only getting a draw.

I'm not a fan of this attitude and I feel bad for saying this but needs must...
Braintree have an average attendance of 841. Alty 1209. Let's pack the Mem and psych these part-time bricklayers the f**k out.

Both Alty & Brainy are high in the form table. No walkovers...

I agree we should take NOTHING for granted.
Yes our average attendance eclipses theirs by miles, but let's remember, our team is in the same league as ALTRINCHM & BRAINTREE's teams. It's obvious that it'd be easy for us to get over-confident now, after Saturday being such a great day, but we cannot afford to be.
(I'm reminding myself of this too)... Let's make sure we take our ''too big for this league'' heads out our asses and MAKE SURE WE DO THE F'IN BUSINESS!!
UTG!

The bottom line is that if we don't get 6 points from these two games, we probably don't deserve to be top of the pile.
After Saturday, I have every confidence that we will get the results required.

Let's pack the Mem and psych these part-time bricklayers the flip out. lets remember that a crowd such as this will also help their team to raise its game. Easier to get motivated in front of 7000 than 500

It does to a point, but surely most of their players won't be used to a big crowd so we must use it to OUR advantage plus we owe them both one after losing at their places !

May I remind you Braintree beat Luton 3-2 away from home last season, in front of 10,000+ when the home team were fully expected to win promotion. Rovers have to be on their game, realistically there's only so much a crowd can do.

Yes, we were awful at Altrincham and not much better at Braintree (although the referee that day was a shocker), lost both games and now need to hand out some pay back; these clubs may have a bit of form, so have we, plus 7000 supporters who will be right behind the Gas. I expect us to beat these both these teams and then march up to Gateshead for another three points. UTG

I think we need to calm down a bit here. Last year we all thought we were safe as there was no chance 3 results would go against us on the final day. Things can change very quickly. I hope DC and his staff can keep the players feet firmly on the ground.

DC's as level-headed as they come, IMO. Every time I hear him I think, "God it must be grim up north."
