I think we need to calm down a bit here. Last year we all thought we were safe as there was no chance 3 results would go against us on the final day. Things can change very quickly. I hope DC and his staff can keep the players feet firmly on the ground. I distinctly remember people saying last year "we might sneak the playoffs, then city might get relegated, then we'll get the UWE, then there'll be no stopping us etc" I truly hope we get promoted and I'm glad we have something to cheer at last, but let's not forget even if we do we will still only be in the bottom tier of English football. A place we probably thought we'd never be not all that long ago. I think we are good enough to do it, but lose one or two and the knives will be out again for sure. UTG

Bloody hell, Altrincham have some good results there! it's a good sequence of points gained but the only really impressive result is winning at Eastleigh.

Yes, we were awful at Altrincham and not much better at Braintree (although the referee that day was a shocker), lost both games and now need to hand out some pay back; these clubs may have a bit of form, so have we, plus 7000 supporters who will be right behind the Gas.... true. and we may need to be patient on saturday and tuesday. These are not 4-0 games. We just have to win these two games, which sadly are probably harder matches than they would have been 2 months ago.

The fact that we have lost to both of these teams is probably not such a bad thing. All DC has to do is remind the players of these games and we wont underestimate the challange ahead.

I'd say losing these two games was what kicked this season into life for us. I think we needed them to really get going if i'm honest. Now I totally expect to see us go for the throat when they turn up at our place. Revenge.

Whilst it was and will now be until the end of the season "never mind the quality feel the points" I thought the crowd was too quiet for too much of the game. Presumably it's nerves as the promotion prize is getting closer but it can only transmit to the players. I hope we can all up the ante on Tuesday and get into top spot. Whilst it does take 2 to tango I think we now have to create an atmosphere that encourages the players confidence to perform from kick off rather than wait for them to do something that encourages us.

You cannot cheer too loud or the doom merchants/critics will not get their voices heard during the game.
