Steve Cotterill having a sly dig in his interview on Subs Bench (repeated at 10pm tonight on Made In Bristol)
Lost any respect I had for the man, sorry.

I'm not sure he meant us. Think his slow brain was just struggling to think of a made up name.

I used to like cotterill. Even after he joined the Reds I had a measure of respect for him. But in some interviews he comes across as an unarticulated, self righteous twit which is made worse by that thick accent. The way he has treated some of the journalists on RB at times have been down right rude. I wonder if he would speak to them like that in the sweet and not expect a punch in the cake hole. I think he thinks he has the same jib as Ollie but he lacks the wit and creativity of language together with the personality that Ollie has. Not a bad manager though. Maybe we'll meet him in the league in a year or 3.

In fact, I think that is one of the reasons he was (no longer seems to be) a media favourite. His sound bites would always create comment.

Maybe he is trying to be like Ollie. Ollie called them Sh!theads in '90, so Cottrill has a pop back calling us Ra-Gass Rovers!
I doubt we'll ever get a chance to let him know how we feel about him, he'll get sacked for getting them relegated to League One before we play them again (hopefully anyway!!)

Taken from the other forum - Messaged Nigel Turner, here was his reply. Jimmy - As you can imagine, I totally understand how you feel but actually Steve Cotterill was NOT mocking Rovers and I was making that point clear. However, you may have noticed that there were sone very bad technical glitches on the transmission last night. One of them came at the exact point when I emphasised that Steve was NOT referring to Rovers but as the picture and sound skipped, it lost the word NOT and gave totally the opposite impression. I am totally mortified that this has happened. It comes at a tine when we have built a really good relationship with both managers and both sets of supporters. Please believe me that this was a million to one chance - a technical glitch which has un-done months of hard work. The technicians are looking into the circumstances on the recording and transmission which also affected the news programme.

I noticed the glitch but took it as just that. As I've said, I don't think Cotterill meant us, I think he was groping for an example of a useless team, realised he didn't want to offend anyone and tried to make up a team. Bad choice, but accidental. In any case, I don't think we need anyone to feel "mortified" lol. We're not that sensitive, are we? I'll survive if Bristol City's manager calls us names, deliberately or not. I don't want to join that tidal wave of people who make it their business to be offended at every opportunity.

Glitch. No glitch. Meaning. No meaning. I'm not that fussed.
City are the enemy and they can say whatever they want about us. We aren't going anywhere (cough... Except upwards I hope!). We are easily the greatest club in the world. We must be; why would anyone want to support a club who wasn't to them.
If I wanted success I could support Man U, and would have then swapped to Chelsea for certain years

Actually, I thought he seemed quite stressed in the interview. They couldn't have asked for better results elsewhere if they were going to lose, and they're still riding high, but he seemed quite edgy about it.
If they should fall away, I imagine he'll go berserk with a machete or something.

Just watched it on youtube. The guy knew what he was saying and even paused to make sure he said it right. To me he is nothing but a scum assed w**ker whom I wish nothing but bad things for whilst he has anything to do with football.

It wont affect how we perform on the pitch and thats the most important thing right now.
