So it’s Conteh?

We knew that Conteh and Shaw were likely off this window at some point. Shaw has a really high ceiling and Conteh is way too good for this level.
Let's hope the hold-up with their departures is because we've been trying to source quality replacements.
Have no problem with players moving onto better things, as long as we get a tidy fee and don't get left short.

Given both of their age I hope it is big money.

The one thing I will give these owners credit for is they don’t seem quick to accept the first offer. In years gone by CT would have been out the door for 350k but we seem to have stood our ground over the fee we want/wanted. Collins and Evans look decent enough business now as well, given how their careers have gone since they left us.

He does a good job of guessing then. That Steve backed the right horse in the JCH saga to be fair to him. Personally I think this bloke like Dust has some good sources, I’m quite pro him

The only ones I can think of that anyone would want are Connor and Ruel. Conteh still has several admirers. The l only one in our team who looked the part against Coventry. Very obvious that he could play higher.

Be gutted if it's Conteh as I was looking forward to watching him cook in league two this season 👌
We better be getting a million+ if we do sell him👍

Be gutted if it's Conteh as I was looking forward to watching him cook in league two this season 👌 We better be getting a million+ if we do sell him👍 Yes but you can see why. He gets injured when we’re not really likely to go down, watches inept management and teammates steer us into a position whereby his wages are cut by a relegation induced contract clause. Two or three clubs were already sounding out the transfer conditions in the previous window but didn’t make a move whilst the injury cloud was there. Having proved he’s over it and done his time in L2 already then if one or more interested clubs meet his release clause it’s just a question of which one offers him a more attractive deal, he’s already shown by his previous and current clubs that location is no issue so the only thing likely to keep him at Rovers would be a feeling of unfinished business. As it’s generally acknowledged that he’s shown he is well capable of playing at a higher level maybe that business is already concluded.

Time is running out for recruiting two strikers, this should have been priority number 1. UTG.

Shaw would be a shame but I'd actually be fine with it if it was a big offer. Reason being he will definitely play a part this year but he's still young and any transfer is based on his potential rather than his current ability. For that reason - on the theory any fee could dramatically improve the team right NOW - then I'd actually be okay with that.
On Conteh, I've made my position clear; I think he's a bit overrated, but at L2 and this late in the window it would be a shame to see him go. If it's a good offer though then I think the same points stand tbh.

At this stage I’d be gutted if anyone left really. Let’s be honest we’re not even ready for the season now, so to lose a couple of key players would be a huge set back.
Given we haven’t really had a new signing in nearly a month and we can’t even seem to get near to signing a striker, I’d have huge concerns that we could replace anyone going out the door.
Honestly if it wasn’t for DC being back, I’d have major concerns about this season. He’s the only one keeping any level of positivity because we know what he demands/expects.
We are not in a good place. On or off the field.

I agree with alot of the above. But think these posts are often people jumping the gun.
Likely heard of club intentions to bid. These things are rarely resolved as quick as immediate as implied.

It would be in our best interests for the business to be concluded sooner, rather than later. If it goes on too long then the time to bring in replacements get shorter. We are just over halfway through the transfer window, so no need to panic right now. However I echo the call for some more goals in the team.

So the only real rumours on a new signings page, are key players departing! Hopefully if players do leave, we reinvest the money, like we did last season. If it's true about Contehs low release clause, we will struggle to replace him though.

Well whoever it is, if we know now that their departure is imminent then we should not play them today, we need to get our players match fit, learning their roles and patterns of play and gelling. Pointless getting a player match fit for someone else and have them linkup with teammates only to lose the benefit of any linkup work they have done almost immediately

You just know we will end up with 3 loans at the end of the window.

Conteh is far too good for this league and I’d hope we get at least a million for him.
