In all seriousness, Langstaff is probably out of reach as is Cole. They’d both have plenty of offers in L1. One I think may be available though is Matt Godden. Godden, the lad Charlton signed last summer and scored 22 goals? Seem to remember we were supposed to be after him from Stevenage before he went to Posh.

*19 league goals. He’s 34, it’s not beyond possibility. They paid 400k for him last summer and he scored 22 goals in all competitions, 19 in the league to fire them to promotion. Firstly I doubt they will let him leave, secondly he isn't Just gonna skip League One and sign for a club in League Two, even if we could afford him, which we can't. Think some of our fans have their heads in the clouds with some of these striker suggestions 🤣

There is one with a perfect name for a gas player. No guesses to who I am referring to.

Won't get them mid table but experienced enough to know his way around that division.

Langstaff not happening not been in for him since the first bid i believe. No offence but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that was an unlikely signing.

Mk dons have just signed Callum Patterson. Another ridiculous signing for this level It'll be interesting to see how they are going to pay all these players wages and still stay within the SCAMP rules, although it'll probably be just like Burton last season, MK Dons will walk the league before the EFL announce they are going to start an investigation, knowing full well it'll be too late to stop them being promoted.

Very much seems like MK NEED promotion or a big cup run to sustain this? No chance their gates and income can maintain it?

People posting photos/gifs of Ellis on X & Facebook in last 15 mins, is it a go-er?

Very random rumour that we’re after a Swiss striker called Fabrizio Cavegn - good scoring record in the Swiss second division and u21 caps for his country by the looks of things. Would be a wildcard but I would be happy with us taking a punt on a bit of an unknown quantity if we’re also looking at a proven goalscorer separately.

I dont believe a word of this. Remember all clubs are bound by FFP. What is it in league 2, 50% of relevant turnover? No way MK Dons are doubling our relevant turnover. A club at this level can still spend as much as you like, if the owners can afford it. The difference is, MK Dons have Kuwaiti billionaires and we have Kuwaiti paupers. From the 25/26 season, clubs will have restrictions on how much of any owner investment over £500,000 can be spent on player wages and transfer fees. League Two clubs can only spend 50% of that investment. So for example, if the Kuwaiti billionaires invest £10mil they can then spend £5mil on transfers. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c36e4068113o👆🏻
