Harrogate kit man is delighted at their first fixture as not expecting to need to wash many kits - especially Belshaws.

Very random rumour that we’re after a Swiss striker called Fabrizio Cavegn - good scoring record in the Swiss second division and u21 caps for his country by the looks of things. Would be a wildcard but I would be happy with us taking a punt on a bit of an unknown quantity if we’re also looking at a proven goalscorer separately. I’m getting Rogvi Baldvinsson vibes with this one.  |

I guess he can't be any worst than Omochere but he's hardly JCH, I still can't see who's going to score the goals needed for a top 6 or better finish. He’ll get you 8-10 goals if fit for a whole season. Not a superstar but a solid enough squad player. Another one who who’ll help shift the culture. As a squad player it’s fine, as the main man we’ve got to hope for better. Assuming Martin is still in with a chance of getting a new contract, then it seems likely Harrison and Omochere was being seen as the main CF's with Martin and a youngster has back up. The whole squad is starting to look like a mid table one rather than top 6. EH has averaged less than 10 goals a season since he left us 7 years ago, so we still need somebody who can score 15+ goals this season. |

What’s your thoughts Pirate, decent signing? Not one his data would have flagged up for me. Swiss 2nd tier a poorer standard. League Two a higher tempo, more physicality and more direct. Just because his underlying numbers don't stand out, doesn't mean he won't be a success, but the data doesn't jump off the page to me. |

Think about our last L2 promotion where we had Leon Clarke chip in with a few goals, that’s the sort of role Ellis will play imo.

Can’t say I’m ecstatic at Ellis, but he’s a solid squad player to have at this level.
Still, one thing I will say about the squad is we’re definitely bringing together a bunch of players who’ll give their all
