Goalies kicking was awful, distribution wasn’t great at all, flaps at crosses- which Bolton fans did state tbh At one point yesterday he went to put his foot on top of the ball and nearly fell over it, which did look a bit comical. Very nervy debut, but if you go back and watch his Bolton performances last season, it wouldn't come as a surprise. At Bolton, no command of area, hesitant off his line, flapping at crosses, poor positioning, and shots he should be saving with his little arms. Jed had better data than him and had a better goals prevented percentage too, last season and the one before. Even Matt Cox ranks higher in the percentiles in comparison for the 22/23 season. But he played for Northern Ireland once a few years ago, don't you know! 😆 Concerning how some of these issues are (not surprisingly) occurring again here.

How do these various small-town and coastal resort clubs achieve Championship and Premier League status, while Rovers have stagnated these past 60-years? Simple answer . We have NEVER had owners who put money in on a long term basis . We have short term investment and then we go through the normal cycle of selling our best players . For example the pre Wael and post wael did spend a bit of money but then we sold the prized possessions of Evans Collins Taylor Shaw and bagged around £2.5 -3 million. Same under previous owners Taylor Stewart Hayles Martin Scales ellington etc etc. Sadly this is both the culture ( board management ) and the DNA of the fans . It will never ever change.

DC talks about “looking at different angles” at the end of the window if he doesn’t get a tune out of last season’s hangers on.
We’re definitely getting another striker in. I’d be sickened if we didn’t.

If he did, I expect he would only sign a short term deal and go from there.

We all like TL but surely he would need to play at least 2-3 months in practice games and B side friendlies. This division is brutal kick and rush .

The questions I post are genuine and why refer to me as a bot? Even your reply is like a bots, as it's totally out of sequence and you haven't hit the "reply" button! Why do you only ask odd questions, why not enter into an actual discussion like every other poster seems to manage?

Because our owners are weak, non committal, not football people, and useless. Just chancer businessmen who fancy a crack at English footy for shitz, giggles n visas. What about historically ?. Why is it we are always in the lower leauges with sub standard facilities?. Swansea Cardiff Pompey Bournemouth City soton Brentford etc were all in our situation 20 years ago. Why is it we have one of the worst ground and worst team in the football leauge. Which is exactly the same as 20 years ago and 20 years before that ?. Its a great point that you are making. I guess we'd need to look at each of those independently and I expect there will be a pivotal moment, or a sequence of events that altered their history. If we looked at our pivotal moments, be it Wembley finals, changes of ownership, missing out on things etc, I think we've had it quite rough. Some of those clubs have better organised fangroups too(think Cardiff during the red branding thing), so they can effect change. Ultimately we've never had an ownership or group of people with the club at the front and centre of their interests. We could argue about GD and that crew or NH and those guys, but at best they just kept the club running rather than pushing to different levels through investment. Grateful for that but its miles away from SL at city or Southampton and Bournemouth etc.
