We don’t stump up for anyone which is why we’re now shopping in the Swiss second tier for players. Conference all over us this season. This time next year we could be just one league above Yate. A succession of bad owners and nobody to blame but ourselves as we put up with it. Apart from posting about it on here what do you intend we do about it?

For instance, there would never ever be a match day protest by Gasheads. I genuinely think they’re so conditioned to being served up utter bilge in terms of the match day experience/stadium, lower league wilderness, that it’s just a case of turn up and accept your fate as a laughing stock. Since Sky started doing the EFL coverage, I’ve not seen a worse stadium for a club that can pull in the best part of 10k fans for home games. I mean, who builds a new stand in the 2020s with pillars?! We’re being thrown crumbs and most seem to lap it up.

We all know that’s not the case 🤣 It may be there longer than it should be, but it’s a temporary stand put up in ten minutes. Not an inch of concrete in the entire structure.

How many other EFL clubs have had fans organising protests about the state of their grounds? I think you're living on another planet if you think that's ever going to happen.

Dont worry these owners have their heads screwed on.The lower standard of football they supply there will be no need to increase capacity!

Practically all new signings refer to Rovers as a massive club with a huge fanbase, whilst in reality this is a small club with crowds of 7-8 thousand! God knows what they think of the stadium. UTG.😔

UTG.😔 Whilst I don't expect a reply from you, what other L2 side regularly gets bigger attendances based in a bigger catchment area? To assist you here's the average home attendances so far this season: share.google/0tb2n1rl1z85kW576If we were successful we'd probably top this table all season.

A fair point! I just hope Rovers turn their form around in double-quick time. UTG.

UTG.😔 I don't get where this huge fan base rubbish comes from. We have been surpassed by so many clubs now who get bigger average attendances than us. Our overall supporter base has decreased massively. We can't rely on fans from the eastville era anymore who one by one are sadly leaving this world now. We have neglected the next generation children supporters for so many years that the red side of the city has pretty much taken them all.

I see 3 out of the 4 clubs relegated last season are in the bottom 5 of the league 2 table, only Cambridge have made a steady start, certainly a wake up call that there are no easy leagues & a lot of hard work needs to be done to stop the rot & get things moving in the right direction, 2 homes coming up, hopefully we can turn this awful start around.

Bristol is growing regularly by 10%, S Glos must be doing at least the same. There's a ready supply.of fans, we're just useless at capturing them.

Not unusual sadly - over the last three seasons, out of the 12 clubs relegated from L1, ten finished in the bottom half the following season. Two - FGR and Carlisle - got relegated again out of the league. As it stands us and Shrewsbury look more likely to be following suite.
