They were all over us in those early minutes, and deserved winners, but it's a frustrating point that if it hadn't been for that one uncharacteristic blunder we would have had a point. We would also had a point if Mattteee Taylor had put away one of the 2 easiest chances of the match and if the ref had the balls to send off the diver

No. not at all.It was a decent enough strike.Although I bet their keeper will be kicking himself that it went past him. However the chance that Taylor missed at 1-0 was relatively easy and who knows what may have happened had he had the ability to put away yet another chance. It is very frustrating watching him.

And not forgetting the ten or so times Taylor was offside, a totally naive woeful performance from him and whats with him hanging around the keeper everytime he has it in his hands and then lazily ambling back after it has been kicked downfield. In my opinion his goal just clouds over the rest of his inept performance.

I assume one played at least 90 minutes and had no chances, created nothing ?

Rest of the strikers ? any efforts, any missed chances ? Just wondering. Harrison had a shot that went wide in the first half, we never created anything else of note.I don't remember their keeper having to make a save.A team can get away with a few players playing badly, but when everybody has a mare, it just wont happen.

So the other strikers could not even get into a striking position in 90 minutes ? That is plss poor !

So, the one who has most goals is rubbish and the ones with a lot less are great strikers who never need to be called out on here as being plss poor ? Ok, I got it now, thanks !

If we were going to lose this weekend was the time do it. Dust ourselves off and push on What? At home in front of 7,400 fans, against a team 5 places below us, with a chance to pull clear of Barnet and their game in hand? Rich, I admire your positivity, but this was NOT the time to do it. With Barnet losing yet again, this was our epic chance to put some blue sky between us and them. Still, plenty to play for yet. We're still just as much top as we were this morning. A bad day for us and another bad day for Barnet.

I have to say for once Tbone has got a bit of a point today. The amount of times he was offside was embarrassing. And hanging around the keeper is just pointless, if we win the header in midfield then thats one attacker out of the equation cos he's standing 20 yards offside!
Having said that to say he missed the best 2 chances of the match is stretching things! They were both ok chances, I think the best 5 chances in the match fell to Eastleigh! And also, not sure why Taylor gets more criticism than Blissett - he can't even play football. Why we paid money for him god only knows!
As for their first, it took no deflection, just a howler from Mildy. His distribution was poor as well.
We need something in midfield, i'd like to see Monkhouse start there next game over Lockyer or Clarke.

Awful performance today. The score was 1-2 to Eastleigh, but I feel that this is a flattering result for us - it could have been 0-3 or 0-4.
Thought Harrison was actually very good. His heading is pretty impressive, and this was unexpected. An area of his game he seems to have improved. It makes sense for him to start.
The first goal was a dreadful mistake. Mildy concerns me. I recall his game against Exeter (opening day of last season) where he clearly failed to make an easy save. For the rest of this game he was quite solid, but should we be using Puddy....? Perhaps...
What is clear to me is that Balanta should be starting. We were awful today but looked a lot better with him on the pitch.
Glad to have Ollie C back and I completely endorse the Manager's post game statements in his interview - hopefully today is a bad day at the office.

Im pretty sure something happened just before the goal was scored as all the Eastleigh players just stopped moving.

I think Eastleigh are being underrated. I thought they did a good job of shutting us out all over the pitch. They looked better than anyone else I've seen at the Mem this season: not always as pretty as some, but with highly professional individuals doing everything right. Coming forward, they were a real handful right from the start, in a way no-one else has been IMO.
We weren't at our best; I hope they were. They've still only played 35 games.
