Eastleigh are the form team right now and will definatly make the play offs. Which is why coming top is so important as I would not want to face either them or Forest Green who are also in form. Eastleigh will be favourites at home to Barnet and Macclesfiled have a tough trip to Gateshead so could easily drop points there. All we can do is just keep winning!

If Eastleigh are definatly going to make the Play offs, FGR are also a from team, who are they going to displaced in the top 5? If Barnet don't get their act together PDQ they seem the only likley candiates as Macclesfield & Grimsby have both returned to winning lately and I can't see them catching us if we can rediscover our pre-Eastleigh form.

We must still be the favourites for top spot? Ok, we lost our last game. But I think we'll carry on like before. As for the last play off place. I can see Eastleigh just missing out. It would take a collosol f*ck up from someone for them to make it.

One really decent team won't even make the play off as the current top 6 all look really good teams.

FGR look most at threat if Eastleigh keep up their recent form but they've only lost once this year!

No, it is clearly in Eastleigh's hands to make the play-offs.
Maximum points possible of all remaining teams:
Barnet - 98 -------------------------- Gas - 97 Grimsby - 95 Macclesfield - 95 Eastleigh - 93 -------------------------- Halifax - 90 Forest Green - 89

Shameless bit of cutting and pasting from Timbee on the Barnet forum. I think it shows the current situation well...
The current table... 73 - Bristol Rovers 72 71 - Barnet (-1) : Macclesfield 70 69 68 - Grimsby (-1) 67 66 65 - Forest Green 64 63 - Eastleigh (-2)
If all teams win their games in hand... 74 - Barnet 73 - Bristol Rovers 72 71 - Macclesfield : Grimsby 70 69 - Eastleigh 68 67 66 - Halifax 65 - Forest Green
it's going to be a nerve wracking end to the season for sure. I think it's probably too much to ask that Halifax or FGR challenge for the title and even the playoffs may be out of their reach. Although Grimsby and ourselves and high up in the form table none of the top four teams are in anything like the goalscoring form of Eastleigh and I am becoming increasingly worried about them. Their game this weekend against Barnet is going to be huge. If anyone other than Rovers are to win the league I hope it's them as I would fancy our chances against the other three.

I think people are getting carried away about Eastleigh just because they beat us (would they have even done that without Mildenhall's gift?) and have hit a bit of form, to close a 10 points gap in 10 games will be some achievement when they still got to play at Grimsby, Gateshead & Halifax plus Barnet at home.
Our next 3 games could be make or break if we're still top after the Macclesfield game we should surely go to clinch the title. As the remaining 5 games then all look v. winnable bar Dover.

Dover have lost 4 out of their last 5. And they're basically French anyway.

Simply the maximum number of points achievable by each team individually, illustrating the point that it is in Eastleigh's hands as to whether they will finish in top 5.

I think Macclesfield will drop out of the playoffs personally. Very tough away fixtures vs FGR, Gateshead and Halifax. I can see them losing all of them, thy're not great away from home.
