Apparently the West Country is a major target for all parties in the election, with all the major players making numerous visits to the area. Can we use this to our advantage. Think I'm right in saying that the Shamesburys lot are well in with the Tories. Surely if they thought there were votes in it they might be inclined to have a word on our behalf. Likewise, if the others thought the conservatives were gaining votes through this, they too might get interested. At the very least, it would be more publicity for the cause. Also...we need to monitor where these people are visiting every day. Some-one with a poster in the background of a tv report would get national exposure for the cause. I think you're wrong there. Sainsbury's have always had strong links to the Labour Party. David Sainsbury (Baron Sainsbury of Turville), the ex Chair of Sainsbury's, is a life peer and sits in the House of Lords as a member of the Labour Party. He has long been one of their biggest donors. Quite possibly,I'm no expert so I bow to your superior knowledge. But my point still stands. Think there is publicity to be had here.

It's been astonishing to me. As I sit there and post "pay up Sainsbury's" comments, meanwhile in their own little world, hundreds of people look at each picture of a cake and say "umm delicious. Must make that." And no doubt wonder who on earth these nasty Bristol Rovers fans are.
Really, why go onto a facebook site from a supermarket and "like" a picture of a chocolate cake?
Like Sir Edmund Hillary, some of these people have too much time on their hands.
But still, even if they delete our comments, it's spoiling the joy and cosy nothingness of their site, and for every comment deleted, maybe 5 or 50 others viewers will have read it. So it's worth doing. If it wasn't, they wouldn't censor us.
Maybe one or two on facebook might mention this to their friends, and they will tell their friends and families. And soon cupcake sales at Tesco might explode as would-be Delia Smiths take their trade elsewhere.
It's not just about football.

I too have taken to venting my stress via the medium of Twitter! Sending three per day on average. Getting lots of re-tweets so hopefully word is spreading. Think we should try some sort of protest on Saturday, particularly if the tv cameras are going to be there.

I am posting to their site every day. I try to post something relevant to the subject of their posts and twist it to suit Rovers. However, I am wondering if my posts/responses (as (Vyv Wiltshire) are actually appearing on the site because although they appear when I go back into their page, they are not accumulating any likes......or maybe they are too cringeworthy for fellow Gasheads? www.facebook.com/sainsburys?fref=tsWould someone please confirm if they show up or not? There are loads to see if they are all there.

All of my posts have disappeared and I no longer have the option to make any comments. Sheer cowardice on their part, in my opinion.

Maybe it's time to switch tactics. How about a flash mob. If we get as many people as possible to visit a store, I suggest Sunday, before the match. At a given signal we remove our jackets to reveal our Rovers shirts or sainsburys protest t-shirts. We then give a rousing chorus of Irene then leave peaceably. If we get a video of this on Facebook and YouTube it would get great publicity.

So they've blocked you? Yes.
Apart from mine, it seems that all other Rovers related posts have disappeared. So it seems others have been blocked too.
We have obviously hit a nerve.
