Good morning gasheads!!! Another crucial win yesterday keeping the pressure on Barnet. But as the games start to run out does the pressure mount on us? Who knows. I do enjoy these polls as they give a reasonable insight to the mood in the gaschat camp. So, with only 2 games left and the title seemingly in Barnets hands to lose, who thinks we will go up as champions?

Cannot see either Kiddie or Gateshead rising to the challenge like we would want them to and although we will win our last 2 league fixtures I'm afraid we will have to get promoted via the exciting route.....

This is my thinking as well, I have faith in us but I can see barnet grinding out 6 points too. I hate playoffs it becomes unpredictable.

We need to beat Dover yet anyway, that is certainly no foregone conclusion...

There are still another 180 spine tingling minutes to go. Still time for that pressure to finally get to Barnet. Could we be the first side to return to the league as champions at the first attempt? Why not? C'mon Gas lets reel em in.

On paper they should do it but winning something like 10 consecutive games will be remarkable for such a small club, if we can win our last 2 games then anything could happen. Apart from pride Dover now have nothing to play for so a win there is now likely.

Really, we need a poll for head and heart.
Head says that Kiddy and Gateshead have packed up for their holidays, and whilst I think we're definitely capable of beating a Dover side who lost 3-1 at Chester yesterday, and an Alfreton side who will hopefully be safe, neither Kiddy nor Gateshead will take points off Barnet.
My heart takes me back to this time last year, and how everyone wrote Wycombe off. We thought we were safe and lost to a Mansfield side who at the time were on their holidays. Maybe we can benefit from that sort of scenario this year.

I think Barnet can see the finish line, and they're determined to do it. I think we'll win both too, but it won't be enough.

So I spot this thread and check the results. Its 50% say we go up as Champions and 50% say No. I vote and the percentage saying Yes (Have I ever said no) goes to 51.52%.
I agree its mighty close but when its mighty close we all need a cool head and look back at our run and have lots of hope for the future. We continue to give our best shot. As my mother in law once said to me, all you can do is your best. If you do your best and fail, then that is the best you can do. Often, if people truly do their very best, not take second, but aim high and be the best they often win.
I continue to believe in better and its great news that 51.52% of gas heads still think we can do it. This belief thing can catch on.
The bus is packed. If we had two buses one full of Yes and the other filled with No people and can guarantee who would have the better journey. We will all end at the same destination but the journey would be so much better surrounded by happy, forward thinking, hopeful, positive and expectant people. I feel the no bus might be looking back, not so happy, more fearful, a little bit more negative and people who maybe expect the worse.
Together, we might just make it. All aboard. Jump on any bus. Its happy times for everyone!

Oh No....
A couple of fans on the other bus have voted and the YES camp have slipped down to 48.72% all in a couple of minutes. Fantastic poll. A swing of 2% in a couple of minutes. Can everyone vote!

Are we going to beat Barnet by a hairs breadth or will they finish head and shoulders above us?. Will they mop the floor with us or will we do it by a whisker?. Is it cut and dried or will it be a close shave?. Well I'm sure it will all come out in the wash saturday week. UTG

It's not about wether we can do it,we will win our last two,but if Barnet will fail and after yesterday that looks slim. Their odds must have improved after the result and performance they had. They are top, have won more games than anyone else, have the top scorer and the ball is firmly in their court

They are top, but have lost twice as many as us. Depending on how you look at stats defines our opinions. Mine is Barnet will not win both . Will we? You bet.
What would be defining would be if one of their last two score first and see how that affects Barnet.

I am not going to vote because to be honest I haven't got a clue. I am hopeful we will do it but there is a strong possibility we won't.

It's key we take it to the last game of the season, we score first v Alfreton and the pressure all goes on to them.

44.9% say YES. Aim higher. OK we might be wrong but aiming high is what winners do.
