Whilst DC deserves credit for taking on the role of manager, fitness coach and club scout i believe the main scouting role should be undertaken outside of the managerial role. Whilst all signings will be DCs decision the general donkey work should be as part of a scouting system. Not saying he shouldn't watch games and spot players but not instead of a proper set up.
What happens when he moves on ? The structure is gone with him and we will be left with nothing. I would like fundraising efforts to focus on scouting as player recruitment will make or break us. Give Richard Everson a call, he must be getting board of just playing Golf in retirement.

Totally right. He mentioned at the EGM that it would be him taking a leading role on scouting. That's fine and probably better than we have been doing but is no real alternative for having a serious scouting set up. Come Xmas when we have a new manager we would lose it all. Question is mate, who's gonna do it?

Richard Everson should be approached, or / and we should use the huge number of coaches and playing staff we have at the club to watch games.
The big plus is having trialists. Why we stopped having large number os trials god only knows.

Great on days/evenings when we're not playing, but when we are playing either they have a role with us or they're not needed when we're playing, in which case they've probably already been laid off...
