Well done lads, can't do much more on the day than batter the opposition seven-nil in front of a conference record crowd. Hope it was a great atmosphere for everyone there despite the Barnet result not going our way. Play-offs won't be easy but we have the squad, the manager and the fans to do this. Lets get behind 'em!
Would happily cast FGR and Eastleigh into the conference for another year but can't help feeling a bit sorry for Grimsby fans who've been stuck down here for five years already. Wish we'd gone up automatically so both teams could conceivably have got promoted! That said, well done to Barnet for a great season and holding their nerve under pressure.
On another note I have no doubt that Toni the Till is delighted with this outcome. More so if we get to Wembley and win.

At the end of the day regardless of luck etc Barnet are finishing top at the end of the season, which makes them deserved champions. We are the second best team in the league so now we have to prove that over three more games perfectly summed up. can't argue over 46 games!

AND he did have a couple of decent saves to make in the second half, which must also be good for confidence.

What was the official attendance again? Doing my write-up now. 11,085 we beat the conference record by 20 mad though. our capacity seems to be no-where near what it used to be then. I wish someone from the club could just put up some accurate figures somewhere. Dover did. Anyone can go on their website and download a ground plan, with capacity figures etc. Given the that the South Stand was the only area not full, due to segregation netting and empty area (why? but that's another question...), our capacity must be around 11,3000-ish at the moment I presume.

The capacity is more for games like Leeds and Nottm Forest because we gave them the whole of the south stand and away terrace with no segregation ..it frees up 200 extra seats. The capacity has come down since we removed the Guinness stand that was the other side of the West Stand from the Family enclosure and replaced it with somewhere to park the lawn mowers!

It's entirely possible over recent years the guidelines on toilets/exits or some other criteria have changed and capacities have been tweaked accordingly - capacity isn't just based on physical space.

Also there seemed to be a fair bit of space in the Blackthorn if you just move more than three yards from the gangways. When we've had games in the FA cup I swear you couldn't move wherever you were. The Fulham game was one such evening. Also the Everton game seemed so rammed I could only really see in front and not to the sides.

Yep, I remember the games against c*ty in the JPT and the Southampton Cup match and it was as you say - packed in like sardines everywhere. Yesterday it was full (obviously) but with some breathing space

Yesterday it was full (obviously) but with some breathing space that's exactly what I was trying to get at. I suspect the licensed 'capacity' for some areas has gone down, even though nothing really has changed to the ground. Terraces never feel rammed like they did years ag o (I sound old now)

What's changed is the maths on how many people in a certain area can buy some food, have a wee or get out safely if there is an emergency. As someone who once worked at the nightclub in Northampton where a girl died in the crush on the way out, I'm happy it's looked at and reassessed every once in a while...
