Can we not offer FGR 15 tickets for the home game ? it would seem the right thing to do.

They are now wasting their own money having to print tickets again and for someone to sort out 1000 refunds. You couldn't make up how ridiculous this league is at times.

So if 1,000 tried to buy them via the internet knowing they'd probably not get past their security checks, how many actually travelled up to FGR yesterday to buy/collect tickets??

Crazy league, stadium won't even be full yet we sold out before the shop opened, some bought some in person and still FGR have to rip up 1000, and that's just the ones they found. Can't blame them for not giving us more, though.
Given the amount, odds are they have probably ripped up a couple of their own fans' tickets with mistaken identity and all, they wouldn't be happy.

They can rip up as many as they like but there's no way they'll manage to get every one. There must be a fair few of us with GL postcodes.

What are they going to do with the 1000 fans who turn up on Wednesday evening to collect their tickets, only to be told they have been destroyed. A lot of disappointed fans wandering around Nailsworth.

I'll be glad that they no longer have my money and it's cost them in both time and money to refund it. Unfortunately we're just as much to blame for the way we tried to sell our allocation.

At 6pm on Saturday evening we didn't know who we would be playing in the play-offs or even IF we would be in the play offs. By 12 o'clock next day there was a small army of volunteers together with Club staff trying to keep season ticket holders happy with an inadequate number of tickets. The logistics of arranging that was not easy.
Please tell us how in such a short space of time YOU would have done it.

The behind the scenes effort of many is nothing short of phenomenal. All I would have done differently was have a separate queue for away ticket sales. People were all over the place queuing in lines they should never have been in expecting something they weren't going to get. Word of mouth soon got around and with everyone saying something different it created a scene of panic where people didn't know where or how to get hold of the away tickets with many missing out who were there longer than people who happened to be in the right place at the right time. Even a lad in front of me with his raffle tickets didn't end up with any. This unfortunately seemed to start of fans frustrations and Forest Green keep chucking more wood on top of the fire.

Everyone knew very well that the play offs were likely and that we'd more than likely be playing FGR or Eastleigh, meaning that we'd get a small number of tickets.

So, will FRG be phoning Rovers' fans who have bought tickets online? Just asking

I think the volunteers do a great job. what I would have done is had a plan, if it turned out we were going into the playoffs. Last week I would have contacted Eastleigh, Forest Green and Macclesfield to see how many tickets each team would be giving us and got Nick Day to announce that at the end of the game. I would have put the away tickets on sale at 9am on Sunday morning, selling vouchers (Rovers club tickets) if the actual tickets hadn't yet turned up and then exchanged said vouchers for actual tickets when they did. The home tickets could then be sold from 12 as these would be mainly season ticket holders. Just what I would have done, not saying that I am right.

A reply would be very much appreciated by the way. Only fair after you were so quick to jump on my back earlier.

The problem is that, as the holder of the data, it would probably be Rovers that have broken the rules on Data Protection by sharing the information: for something other than the limited, specifically stated purposes handled according to people’s data protection rights kept safe and secure

If true about the 1000 tickets, could be interesting! Has anyone had any correspondence from FGR regarding this? Been wondering all day if it's been scare mongering especially as there's been no word yet of any gasheads having their money refunded.

If no ones been informed then the 1000 people who's tickets were ripped up will turn up on the day! Could get nasty!
