So the teams of the year were announced today for all of the Football League divisions. I assume that the Conference must have one soon.
Any predictions/ suggestions who should be in it? Surely Akinde will be in and probably most of our back four. Struggling to remember too many outstanding individual performances against us.
Thoughts?

Parkes and Brown will surely be there. I would imagine Lockyer, Mansell and Monky all have a decent shout too.

I think Parkes will get in it and maybe Mansell.
Possibly lee Brown as well.
Andy Yiadom for Barnet could well be right back.
Akinde and Brett Williams (Aldershot) up front maybe?

Personally if we were in League 2 next year I would be trying to sign Brett Williams and Luke Young.

I think he's out of contract. people need to be a little careful with Luke Young though. Turkey think they will get a lot of money for him. Also has a bad discipline record, encouraged by the least disciplined manager in the lge. BUT more importantly be careful of the assists stat. yes, he's had an enormous number of assists. But he's also has taken over 300 (yes, 300!!) corners and free kicks, which might explain the assists stat. I'm not saying don;t sign him. Just saying any team REALLY needs to look into it all before paying big dolla.

Williams has been nowhere near as good this season - bit of an attitude problem I believe as well.
Young would be ideal if Lines didn't stay on and we went up, I doubt he'd command a huge figure. Bear in mind, Torquay sold Olejnik and O'Kane at their peak when they got to the League 2 Play-off Final a while back for no more than £300/400k. I think someone would get him for five figures, possibly low six figures at a push.

Yeah, it would still represent a very good profit for a player I believe they signed on a free after being released by Plymouth a year ago? I could imagine Torquay could do with the money.

In the Conference, League Two or League One I'd happily pay big bucks for anyone who could miss the first defender 9 times out of 10 from a corner kick...

The Braintree midfielder Ken Davis should be in IMO; would like to see him at BRFC next season. Browner and Parkes would surely make the starting line up as well.

Who was that Braintree player that scored that cracker at the mem? Everyone was saying we should sign him after!
I can honestly see only Parkes, Brown and maybe one other getting into the best 11. Our keeper, right back and wingers have changed over the season and they will pick the top scorers for the strikers with one obviously being Akinde and the other either Parkin (24 goals) or Scott Redell (22 goals). Dont think Bret Williams will be there on the basis he has only scored 14 (4 less than our very own Taylor).
Barnet captain Westin will be in there too.

Simeon Akinola, apparently has one year om his contract. I would definitely be looking into him at least.

Parkes and Brown must be in the team given that our defence has been so strong. Mansell would have a chance, as would Taylor. If they were naming a bench then Lockyer for his versatility and Ellis for his proven effectiveness as a sub would be shoe-ins!
I suspect only Parkes and Brown, though.

Very interested to see which goal keeper gets in the team, not a single keeper has stuck in my mind this season
