Strikes me that NH should be very grateful we are such a fragmented fan base. Despite being relatively large in numbers, we're unorganised with various forums, supporters groups etc If we want to be taken seriously by the BoD we do need to have one voice and one forum in my view, would be a big step forward. It's called pluralism I think - and is a good thing. One or two groups is ok, 5 or 6 probably not. Surely you like the fact that there is a choice of forums too ? I think, and i admit I hope, that more supporters feel there is no alternative but to get together and let the board know that they cannot treat us with such contempt ! Please come on July 1st and see if we can build further consensus following our excellent meeting on June 10th. |

I take your point, but respectfully disagree.
As it stands, I feel we have a hugely disenfranchised fan base many of whom have stopped getting involved in forums due to the fragmentation.
We have various supporter meetings going on and it makes it very easy for the BoD to dismiss each group's concerns as 'minority' or 'not organised'.
The solution (in my view) would be 1 independent supporters club with one representative who meets with NH on a monthly basis. This meeting would be preceded by some sort of forum with the members to raise their issues. The Internet forum could be an enabler for this process.
Only when we start to stand together will we be able to hold the BoD to account.
By the way, I am intending on attending next week.

Ok Gasoline and glad to hear you're coming. I am not sure though about the bit "various supporters group meetings" ? We have had several meetings, the biggest being on June 10th. Then there is BRISA (don't know how many they have had - but we went along to one) other than that I haven't heard of any other groups/organisations since relegation. I hope we can reduce it to ONE, we shall see. These things can't be rushed.

the club will only talk via official channels....
so if the o.f. was your 'official' outlet then where should you go....
is it so right to join another club or membership scheme when you were happy with the official forum, or should i find another place of belonging, just to get close to our football club, when before the club f**ked it, it was already sorted....

What is your view on the article and more importantly NH's comments, Finnish ? Do you think the Board have been sensitive to us supporters and acted as quickly as they could to what has happened on May 3rd and the previous three seasons ? After having a very negative 5 weeks after relegation I am now trying to move on and be as positive as possible. It is difficult at times! There appears to be a lot of "spin" in Nick's comments and it is clear that "dialogue with the fans is a place that he does not really want to be". Most of us have at some stage vented our anger and frustration at the position that the Board has placed us in. However, I feel that the time has come to move on and get behind DC, the players and in particular the new signings. Fans groups are making valliant efforts to bring about change but in my view they are too thinly spread to achieve very much other than sound a "wake-up" call for the Board. Many of us will remain "internet warriors" and will find it difficult to influence the Bristol Rovers Supporters Club, let alone the Board. Nick has made the offer of open dialogue to all supporters at the forums and we should grasp that opportunity. He and the Board would be exceedingly foolish to ignore some of our concerns such as the inadequate scouting network and poor communications / PR. |

It does concern me that the club have yet to have this Q & A and announce findings of their internal review for supporters to say "We can now move on to getting behind the team". But I respect your thoughts of course.
Fan groups are trying not to be too thinly spread this I hope will be witnessed on July 1st.

Kingswood, coming from anyone but you i would take that seriously. Hows your mate Geoff doing ? Glad we know where we stand with the board, can focus on getting players in now. I was trying to put it to bed mate as you have made your point several times. I don't understand why you harp on as even my mate GD has said, 2 days ago, we shall see how things go after the changes. That pretty ambiguous wouldn't you say ? |

I know he has very circuitous ways and that he has spotters on the forums because he is very quick to jump onto anything that is critical of him. Saying that, not seen PaS or his new incarnation Nurse wratched post for a while  |

Who really uses the word cognisance, if such a word even exists.
I just don't get why he can't / won't name a date for this "meeting". It just smacks of either something going on (Geoff hinted changes on his Twitter) or total inability to organise a water up in a brewery. Just how hard is it to coordinate a room booking and a few diaries?
